"If we leave, who will be part of the church in our nation?"

These words come from persecuted believers who chose to remain in danger rather than seek safety elsewhere. Their decision challenges many of our assumptions about faithfulness, sacrifice, and what it means to follow Jesus when the cost is high.

As we hear stories from the global church, we're reminded that God is at work in some of the hardest places on earth through ordinary people who have chosen courage over comfort.

Their witness invites us to consider where God may be calling us to remain faithful, trust Him more deeply, and join Him in His work—right where we are.

As our Global Mission Conference comes to a close, we invite you to stay a little longer and join us on the lawn after each service.

Together, we'll celebrate what God has been teaching us, hear stories of how He is at work, and reflect on the ways He may be inviting us to join Him. Whether you're still processing what you've heard or feeling prompted toward a next step, this is a chance to connect, pray, and encourage one another as a church family.

This Sunday, we’re honoured to welcome Damien Lee as part of our Global Mission Conference: Joining Jesus. Having served for over a decade in the Middle East with The Alliance Canada, Damien brings a powerful perspective on carrying the hope of Jesus into the hard and dark places of the world.

Speaking from John 1 and Romans 15, Damien will challenge and encourage us to consider what it means to bring the light of Christ where He is not yet known. This is more than a message about missions—it’s an invitation to rediscover the heart of God and the calling of His Church.

The gospel is personal, but it was never private.

God’s mission has always included the hurting, the overlooked, the outsider, and the vulnerable. Following Jesus means allowing Him to shape not only our beliefs, but also how we love, serve, and respond to the world around us.

Sometimes God's biggest invitations sound absolutely ridiculous! But what if that 'crazy' idea is actually His voice calling you to join His mission? Whether it's radical giving, moving across the world, or simply talking to your neighbour - stay open to His leading.

This weekend, Quincy shared how God used unexpected steps of obedience to help establish our Global Mission Conference, creating space for people to encounter what God is doing around the world and discover their place in His mission.
