Reacting to the CSIS statement, the Hindu Canadian Foundation (HCF) welcomed “the clear, fact‑based stance” taken by the agency.

"This clarity matters. Victims deserve justice,” HCF said, adding that this reinforced its standing call “to designate CBKEs as a terrorist entity to safeguard Canadians from all walks of life.”

CBKEs is a NATIONAL SECURITY threat for all Canadians. Declare as Terrorist Entity.

Today, we pause to remember the victims of terrorism and the families, friends and communities whose lives were forever changed by these senseless acts.

As we mark 41 years since the bombing of Air India Flight 182, we honour those who were lost and those who continue to carry the impact of that tragedy.

Our hearts go out to you all – we will always remember.

On this day in 1985, a bomb exploded on Air India Flight 182 off the coast of Ireland. All 329 people on board were killed, including 268 Canadians. It is the worst terrorist attack in Canadian history and was the world's deadliest terrorist attack until Sept. 11, 2001.

Today marks the 41st anniversary of the 1985 Air India Flight 182 terrorist bombing. This tragedy remains Canada’s largest mass murder and the worst incident of terrorism in our national history.

In memory of the 329 innocent lives lost over the Atlantic, and the two baggage handlers killed at Tokyo’s Narita Airport, the Government of Canada proclaimed June 23 as National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism.

Today is National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism and the 41st anniversary of the Air India bombing, which remains the deadliest act of terrorism in Canadian history. Let us remember that terrorism is not some abstract concept, it is a scourge whose very real cost is innocent human lives. Terrorism must never be used as a political means, either in Canada or abroad, and Canada must never be used as a safe haven for terrorists.
