펜윅 침례교회 M. Fenwick Baptist Church 펜윅침례교회 | M. Fenwick Baptist Church Malcolm Fenwick was a Baptist missionary in Korea during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Born in Markham, Ontario in 1863, he attended the Niagara Bible Conference in 1889 and decided to devote his life to missionary work. Fenwick arrived in Korea on December 8, 1889, and spent the next 46 years of his life there before his death on December 6, 1936. During his time in Korea, Fenwick accomplished many things that helped to spread the gospel and establish the Baptist denomination in the country. He translated the Bible into Korean, published hymns, and established a Bible academy to train leaders and send them to pioneer churches. These efforts helped to make the Baptist denomination in Korea the third-largest Christian denomination in the country today. Fenwick's work in Korea was not without its challenges. He faced persecution and opposition from the Korean government, which was suspicious of foreign missionaries. Despite these obstacles, Fenwick remained committed to his mission and continued to work tirelessly to spread the gospel and establish the Baptist denomination in Korea. Today, Fenwick's legacy lives on through the M. Fenwick Church in Toronto, which is named after him. The church seeks to emulate Fenwick's faith and missionary spirit and to spread the gospel to the world while also serving the community and helping its neighbors.
