A huge thank you to volunteers Ruel Gutierrez, Joseph Oligo, and Boyet dela Masa, and our ever-reliable custodian Enrique De Leon (shown flanking Father Freddie in the photo) for teaming up to replace the anteroom floor and clear out the space.

Thank you for sharing your time and skills to keep our parish beautiful! We also appreciate Father Freddie for his constant support and wonderful rapport with our helping hands, which truly brings our community together.

Last Sunday, the CWL presented Father Freddie with a chasuble as a farewell gift, marking the conclusion of his seven plus years of dedicated service to our parish.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Father Freddie for his inspiring leadership, spiritual guidance, and ministry. You will be dearly missed!

A huge thank you to Joseph Oligo for his incredible dedication to our parish mini-garden! Every year from spring through summer, Joseph nurtures a beautiful variety of vegetables - including tomatoes, bitter melon, gourds, lettuce, and eggplants.

Joseph’s work is a true ministry of community and care. During harvest season, he shares his crops with parishioners and sells a portion to fund the garden's ongoing upkeep.

Jesus, having ascended into heaven, gave us the Holy Spirit on Pentecost (the Solemnity celebrated last Sunday), the first gift given to believers – the Person of Love poured out into our beings so we might live as children of God. This is how we can understand why the liturgy invites us to celebrate the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Join us on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, as we bid a fond farewell to Father Freddy Claudio after seven wonderful years as our parish priest. Together, we will express our deepest gratitude for all he has done for our parish community.

Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. Following the Mass, all are invited to the church hall for a reception to offer well wishes on his new assignment as pastor of St. Wilfrid’s Parish in North York.

Father Freddy’s last day with us will be June 23, 2026.

Reminder: bring your clothing donations this weekend.

On the weekend of May 16-17, Holy Cross Church is hosting a clothing donation drive for the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul as part of their Spring Bundle Up Weekend. The collection truck will be parked at the back of the church from 9 am to 6 pm both days, ready to receive your gently used clothing and accessories for those in need.

Please note that the drive is for clothing only: appliances, furniture, books, mattresses, dishes, construction materials, and video tapes cannot be accepted.

If you've been meaning to clear out your closets, this is a wonderful opportunity to put those items to good use.

In Loving Memory of Rev. Jose Kuriedath

Father Freddy Claudio and the parish staff invite our entire community to a Memorial Mass at 11am on Saturday, May 23 in honor of Rev. Jose Kuriedath, who returned to the Lord on April 24, 2026.

Father Kuriedath served our parish with profound faith and devotion from July 1, 1998, to September 12, 2005. We invite you to join us as we celebrate his life, his ministry, and the lasting impact of his service to our church family.
