Today (Ash Wednesday) marks the season of Lent, which refers to the 40 days of fasting and temptation that Jesus endured in the desert to prepare himself for his earthly ministry which culminated in his death on the cross. During this season of Lent I encourage you to take time to meditate and reflect on the ministry of Jesus and his death for us on the cross. One may choose to regularly fast, perhaps to give up something so that one may identify with Jesus' sacrifice for us, to read scripture related to his ministry and sacrifice, and also to commit to prayer.

TKPC as a whole has committed to prayer, and weekly we will be praying through the Lord's Prayer. For this week we will be focusing on honouring and making the Name of God holy. Here are three specific prayers we can pray:

a. May we proclaim that Jesus is our Lord and Saviour, and no one else
b. May we be holy (set apart) to God in heart, speech, and action
c. May we make big the name of God amongst family, friends, and neighbours

Another blessed time serving at Evangel Hall during the pandemic. Mosaic we did great! We put out around 170 meals which served the homeless, and those falling on hard times because of the pandemic. This was the most food that Evangel Hall had seen a church prepare, and none went to waste. I was particularly grateful to see our members drop off trays of food, even though we all have not returned to in-person worship. Glad we can still be the church especially during these challenging times. Thanks so Susan Huang for your leadership
