What a year it's been! From the countless fruitful Ministry nights & socials, culminating in the retreat, we are so grateful for your presence 🙏

The Spiritus York community just keeps growing, from the first year to the second that just passed - God is truly doing great things!

It's been such a beautiful time working & journeying with each one of our Core Team members. Within our small but mighty group, we did some team-building socials as well as a book study together ("What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith").

The Spiritus York Core Team is going through a couple changes for the upcoming 2024-2025 year (👀) for some joyous things; if you're interested in joining our team to serve young Catholic adults in the York Region, build connections & create lasting friendships, please DM us or email us at [email protected].

A quick recap of April's Spiritus evening to get you ready (& excited) for tomorrow's event ⬇️

• CC Seminarian Karl took us on a deeper dive into the life of Peter, reflecting on both his life & our own.

• Through the scripture we studied (Lectio Divina), we were reminded that we will be led places we do not want to go, but to surrender to & trust in the Lord's will.

• We heard a testimony from someone from the Spiritus York community; Natalie shared how she is living out her faith & processing the discernment of where God is leading her.

Jesus is Risen & WE ARE BACK! ❤️‍🔥

Our topic this month focuses on events that take place during and after Christ's crucifixion. After denying Jesus, Peter “went out and wept bitterly” (Lk 22:62). Having repented, Peter looked for, and obeyed, Jesus Christ—becoming the ‘Rock’ on which the resurrected Jesus founded His Church.

Many of us may identify with denying Jesus in times of trial, but do we follow Peter in his repentance, love, and obedience to Jesus Christ? Come encounter the person your heart longs for and for whom Peter gave his life.

As we prepare to enter the Easter Triduum, we encourage you to take the time to reflect on what we learned about the Mass & the Eucharist last month. Everything Jesus did for us during this time - His greatest, sacrificial act of love - is made present in the Mass. We are witnessing the Last Supper every time we gather together in the Church, in Jesus' name.

Just a reminder that we will not be having our March Spiritus York ministry night, as our regular night falls during Holy Week. To keep the week Holy and prayerful, we invite you to enter into the week more intentionally.

A few of us will be at 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 & 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 at St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica in Toronto.
