On November 16, 2022, we parted ways with Vasil Sabev. A very good, very nice, very positive young man has left us. The Lord wanted to take him to Himself when we least expected it. We will send him to the Lord with faith that “the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and there shall no torment touch them. In the sight of the unwise, they seemed to die: and their departure is taken for misery, And their going from us to be utter destruction: but they are in peace. For though they be punished in the sight of men, yet is their hope full of immortality. And having been a little chastised, they shall be greatly rewarded: for God proved them, and found them worthy for himself. (Wisdom of Solomon 3:1-5)

Vassil Sabev sadly passed on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 after a short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Vassil was the beloved son of Diana Filipova and step-dad Guy Reis of Toronto and biological father Asen Sabev of Bulgaria. Loving grandson of Ivan and Jordanka Filipova and Madlena....

Today's sermon will be on "Let's not be sheep."

The original church feast today is the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost. Historically, relatively recently, the so-called local Orthodox churches have chosen to celebrate their national saints on this day. The Russian Orthodox Church celebrates its national saints, the Romanian church - its, etc.
The Bulgarian Orthodox Church celebrates those righteous and martyrs whom it has canonically declared saints. Many of them are Macedonian-Bulgarian saints. My prayer is that one day the memory of these righteous men and women will unite the good Christians of Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

With prayerful wishes, that may God heal the sick of our Christian community, comfort the suffering, and confirm all in health and progress in life and faith,

Оригиналният църковен празник днес е 2 Неделя След Петдесетница. Исторически погледнато, сравнително неотдавна т.н. поместни православни църкви са избрали на този ден да празнуват националните си светци. Руската Православна църква празнува своите си национални светци, Румънската – своите и т.н. Българската Православна църква празнува онези праведници и мъченици, които тя канонично е обявила за светци. Много от тях са македоно-български светци. Моята молитва е един ден паметта за тези праведници да обединява добрите християни от България и от Северна Македония.

С молитвени благопожелания Бог да излекува болните от нашата християнска общност, да утеши страдащите и всички да утвърди в здраве и напредък в живота и вярата,

Happy Orthodox feast All Saints' Day,
All people want to have a good life. But when we say "good life", we usually imagine good material conditions, health, joys, friends, carefreeness, etc. However, all these things do not speak exactly about a good life, but rather about an easy life. We often confuse the good life with the easy life. There can be a good life. But there is no easy life in this world.
Saints are those people who have had a good and virtuous life and have kept their souls pure despite the difficulties, trials, tortures, diseases, enemies, etc.
A good life is achievable with our efforts and with help from God.

Честита Православен празник Неделя на Всички Светии,
Всички хора искат да имат добър живот. Но като кажем „добър живот“, ние обикновено си представяме добро материално състояние, здраве, радости, приятели, безгрижие и пр. Всички тези неща обаче говорят не точно за добър живот, а по-скоро за лесен живот. Така ние често пъти бъркаме добър живот и лесен живот. Добър живот може да има. Но лесен живот на този свят няма.
Светиите са онези хора, които са водили добър и достоен живот и са опазили душите си чисти въпреки трудностите, изпитанията, мъченията, болестите, враговете и пр.
Добър живот се постига с наши усилия и с Божия помощ.
