The organisers kindly and respectfully request all devotees to wear white on both days when participating in the ceremony.

Devotees are welcome to make Katina donations at the Kapruka, which will be placed in the Viharage during the ceremony. Donations may also be handed over to any of the resident monks before or after the ceremony.

The Katina Ceremony 2026 will be held on October 31 and November 1, 2026. As part of this sacred event, the Committee of Management is organizing a Dansela to offer lunch to the devotees attending the ceremony on November 1.

The Committee has decided to engage a chef to prepare the meals, and the total cost is expected to be approximately $4,000. We kindly solicit your generous support to help make this meritorious undertaking a success. Your contribution will go a long way in supporting this act of generosity and strengthening the spirit of our community.

Contributions may be made by e-transfer to [email protected]. Please indicate “Dansela Contribution” in the message section of the transfer.
Donations may also be made by cash or cheque. If contributing by cash or cheque, please indicate that the donation is for the Dansela.

වික්‍රමතුංග මහත්මා විසින් විහාරස්ථානයේ ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේලාට සක්මන් භාවනා කිරීම සඳහා සක්මන් මළුවක් සකසමින් සිටියි. 🌸🌸 සක්මන් මළු ඉදිකර පූජා කිරීමේ පුණ්‍ය විපාක 🌸🌸

ආයුශ්මත් කොටිකණ්ණ මහරහතන් වහන්සේ පෙර කර තිබුණු සුවිශේෂීම පිංකම සක්මන් මළු පූජාවයි.

මේ තෙරුන් වහන්සේ කලින් භවයන් වලදී බුදුපියාණන් වහන්සේලා මුණගැසී තිබිණි. එහෙත් නිවන් දකින්නට හේතු සම්පත් මදි වී තිබුණි. නිවන් දකින්නට පින් කරමින් සිටි මේ තෙරුන් අනෝමදස්සී බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ කාලයෙහි එක කුලවත් නිවසක ඉපදුණි. ඉතා ධනවත් කෙනකු වූ මෙතුමා අඹුදරුවන් සමඟ බොහෝ පින්කම් කළේය.

අනෝමදස්සී බුදු පියාණන් වහන්සේට සක්මන් කරන්නට අලංකාර සක්මන් මළුවක් ඉදි කළ මෙතුමා එහි සුදුහුණු ගෑවේය. සක්මන් මළුව පූජා කරන දිනයේහිදී මල් පහන් සුවඳ දුම් වලින් සරසා බුදුපාමොක් මහා සංඝරත්නයට ප්‍රමිත මහා දානයක් දුන්නේ ය. තමන් මිය යන තෙක්ම මහා පින්කම් කර ගත් එතුමා මරණින් පසු ඉපදුනේ දෙව් ලොවයි.

දිව්‍ය සම්පත් විඳ අප බුදුපියාණන් වහන්සේ පහළ වන කාලයෙහි ඔක්කාක රජ කුලයෙහි උපත ලැබුවේය. කෝලිය වංශික රාජ කුමාරයෙක් වූ මෙතුමා කෝටියක් වටිනා රත්තරන් පළඳනාවක් කන් දෙකට දැම්මේය. ඒ නිසාම කෝටි "කොටිකණ්ණා" " කුටි කණ්ණා" ලෙස ප්‍රසිද්ධ විය.

අප භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේ ගැන ඉතාම පැහැදුණු කොටිකණ්ණ කුමරු ඉතාම ශ්‍රද්ධාවෙන් පැවිදි විය. පෙර භවයේ හේතු සම්පත් නිසාම විදර්ශනා වඩා ටික දිනකින් ම රහත් විය.

තමන් වහන්සේගේ අතීත භවයන් සිහි කරන තෙරුන් සක්මන් මළු පූජාව නිසා ලැබුණු දෙව් මිනිස් සැප සහ නිවනට හේතු සම්පත් ලැබුණු හැටි විස්තර කළහ.
