Mahadhammika Temple Monthly Lunch Donation Calendar Update - မဟာဓမ္မိကကျောင်းတော် လစဉ်ဆွမ်းအလှူ ဇယားအသိပေးခြင်း
Dear all,
We would like to inform you of the regular monthly lunch donation calendar of the Mahadhammika temple for the months of September, October, November and December 2026.
If you would like to donate lunch for Saturday and Sunday, please kindly contact Mahadhammika Sayardaws at 416-747-7879.
If you would like to donate lunch on weekdays, approval from the regular donor is required. Please contact Sayardaws if you require assistance to contact the regular donor and to confirm your date of lunch donation.
Lunch donations for the deceased will be the highest priority and Sayardaws will accommodate lunch donation for the required date.
Please also contact Sayardaws, if you would like to donate for breakfast meal.
If you need assistance for meal donation arrangements, please contact BBAO to discuss about the options.

တနင်္လာမှသောကြာ ရက်များအတွက် နေ့ဆွမ်းကပ်လှူလိုပါလျှင် ပုံမှန်ဆွမ်းအလှူရှင်များထံမှ သဘောတူညီမှု ရယူရန် လိုအပ်ပါသည်။ အလှူရှင်အားဆက်သွယ်ရန်အကူအညီလိုအပ်ပါက ဆရာတော်များထံဆက်သွယ်နိုင်ပါသည်။ ဆွမ်းရက်ကို ဆရာတော်များအားလျှောက်ထားပြီး အတည်ပြုရပါမည်။

Obituary Announcement: Passing of Dr. Khin Maung Htay

The Sayadaws of Mahadhammika Temple and the Executive Committee members of the Burma Buddhist Association of Ontario (BBAO) deeply regret to announce the passing of Dr. Khin Maung Htay, beloved husband of Dr. Daw Khin Than Wai and father of Bryan.

Dr. Khin Maung Htay passed away peacefully on August 09, 2026, at 9:05 AM.

May he attain a higher sphere of existence.

The funeral service for the dearly departed Dr. Khin Maung Htay will be held as follows:

Date: Thursday, August 13, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM
Venue: Chapel Ridge Funeral Home
8911 Woodbine Avenue, Markham, Ontario

Following the funeral service, the family will offer lunch dāna to the Sangha. Mote Hinn Khar will be provided for guests at Mahadhammika Temple.

Reminder: The 38th Wazo Robe Offering Ceremony

BBAO Executive Committee would like to warmly inform you of the following reminders.

• The 38th Wazo Robe Offering ceremony will be held on Sunday, 10:00 AM July 26, 2026 at Mahadhammika Temple.

• As the Wazo Robe Offering Ceremony is one of the largest BBAO events, volunteers are greatly appreciated to participate in event preparation and various activities on the event day. High school students are welcome to volunteer for their community involvement hours. Please contact BBAO via Messenger or the comment box if you are available to volunteer.
• Event preparation: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, July 25, 2026, Saturday
• During event: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, July 26, 2026, Sunday

• As a widely accepted dress code to enter any sacred place of worship, wearing modest clothing that covers your shoulders and legs are kindly requested, at anytime you visit the Mahadhammika Temple. Clothing to cover up can be available before entering the Dhamma Hall but coming to the temple with modest clothing is strongly recommended.
• Example clothes not to wear (top): sleeveless, vest, crop top, low-cut top, see-through top
• Example clothes not to wear (bottom): short pants, tight pants, ripped pants, miniskirt
• Example clothes recommended: short or long sleeved-tops which cover your shoulder and chest, ankle-length pants, skirts or longyis

ဓမ္မမိတ်ဆွေများအား လေးစားစွာ ထပ်ဆင့်အသိပေးအကြောင်းကြားအပ်ပါသည်။

• ၃၈ ကြိမ်မြောက် စုပေါင်းဝါဆိုသင်္ကန်းဆက်ကပ်လှူဒါန်းပွဲကို လာမည့် တနင်္ဂနွေနေ့ July 26 2026 မနက် ၁၀ နာရီ တွင် မဟာဓမ္မိကကျောင်းတော်မှာ ကျင်းပပါမည်။

• ပွဲတော်ပြင်ဆင်ရေးနှင့် ပွဲတော်နေ့တွင်ကူညီရန် စေတနာ့ဝန်ထမ်း လုပ်အားပေးများအား ဖိတ်ခေါ်ပါသည်။ အထက်တန်းကျောင်းသားများကိုလဲ ကျောင်းအတွက်လုပ်အားပေးနာရီ ရရန်ဖိတ်ခေါ်ပါသည်။ လိုအားပေးနိုင်ပါက messenger နှင် comment မှ ကြိုတင်အကြောင်းကြားနိုင်ပါသည်။
