ETERNAL BE HIS MEMORY!

With deep sadness, it was announced that this morning, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Protopresbyter Fr. Peter Carras (Panagiotes Karathanasis), founder of the Churches of St. Nektarios and Panagia Prousiotissa, fell asleep in the Lord.

He was a stalwart in defending the true orthodox faith (γνήσια την πίστη). He, with the help of a small group of lay people built a strong community of loyal faithful at St Nektarios, first at Richmond St and continued on at its present location. (Fr. Alexander and Fr George, of Eternal Memory, were on his side to support his efforts.) He will be missed by his flock.

The Board of Trustees and parishioners of St. Raphael offer our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters who have lost a spiritual father who guided them for decades.

He left behind a great legacy and successors capable of carrying on his mission. Αιωνία αυτού η μνήμη!
