Loving Father,
We bring to you the suffering of our world today.
Look kindly upon every person living in fear, suffering persecution, or facing death.
Help us to remember that you are the Father of all of your children on earth.
Fill each heart with an unwavering trust in your Fatherly love.
Forgive us when we have not cared for our earth, the home you have given.
Forgive us when we chose the path of selfishness rather than the path of Love.
Forgive us when we forgot to live as brothers and sisters on this earth,
the way you have shown in fellowship with your disciples.
Look upon us with your compassion,
the way you looked upon the world from the cross.
Remember not the evil we have done,
but see the depth of our repentance.
Give peace to the world,
help us to live anew.
Send your Spirit to guide each our step,
to build rather than to destroy,
to love rather than to hate,
to live rather than to die.
In Jesus’ name,
through the victory of his resurrection,
we pray.
Amen.

Glorious!
Glorious is the Lord on high!
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, ‭there‭ is freedom.‭ But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” (2 Cor. 3:17-18)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
What awesome transformation the Lord is working in us as we focus on Him. Glorious!

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy ‭to be‭ compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.‭‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
‭For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons ‭and daughters‭ of God.‭ For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected ‭it‭, in hope‭ that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.‭” (Romans 8:18-21)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
The love of Christ arouses us, urges us to run and to fly, lifted on the wings of holy zeal. —St. Anthony Mary Claret

Gracious
Gracious is the Lord and merciful, kind to all his creatures. Gracious is the Lord our God, inviting all to the redemption won for us by His beloved son Jesus Christ on the cross. Gracious is Christ as He calls out, “Come to me, all you who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.” Gracious is He in leaving us free will to either accept Him into our lives of refuse Him. Gracious is the gift of the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, divine Helper, teacher and guide, Comforter and Consoler. Gracious is the Lord God, the Almighty who loves us with an everlasting love and calls us to be gracious as He is gracious, to be children of grace and mercy like Him. Gracious!

Peace!
The Lord calls us to his peace, his shalom – the wholeness and completeness of God. We might ask, “Then why don’t we have peace?” Since peace comes from God, when we ignore God or, as some do, deny his very existence, peace cannot come to us. Sin separates us from God and from one another. We see that in the fall of Adam and Eve, how they got into the blame game. “The woman You gave me….” “The serpent tricked me…” Do we play the blame game??
As David wrote in Psalm 51, “The humble, contrite heart you will not spurn.” So let us come humbly, honestly to God, the God who is love and peace, abounding in steadfast love and mercy. Let us take responsibility for our sins and our lack of peace. Let us ask for His forgiveness and that He make of us instruments of peace, His peace that the world cannot give.
Peace beloved of God, peace be with you, the God of peace be with you.

Upright
The Lord calls us to live holy and upright lives that display his goodness and bring him glory. An upright life challenges the worldly culture and customs. An upright life draws the opposition of the devil an the people he works thru. We must encourage one another to persevere in righteous living, for upright lives are evidence of God’s love and truth. Upright lives enable us to come before the Lord our God without fear or shame.
Yes, let us seek the Lord’s will for how we should live upright lives and to receive the graces we need to truly live holy and upright lives that will attract others, even those opposing us. Amen, alleluia!

Triumph
Praise be to God the Father, who always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus the Lord.
