St. Peter's CWL members joined their sisters for the Provincial Convention this week. On July 3rd the CWL Flag was raised at City Hall. Thanks to Mary Wilson for these photos of the ceremony with His Excellency Bishop Campeau, Mayor Ken Boshcoff and of The Catholic Women's League of Canada Ontario Provincial Council (including St. Peter's Pauline Krupa).

Good to know that people who need it can enjoy good meals thanks to the Dew Drop Inn. Thanks to those from St. Peter's who made and served this one.

Today has been a St.Peter's Church, Thunder Bay Tuesday ! They have spent the entire day with us volunteering and if that wasn't enough they also brought their signature St. Peters Shepherds Pie with them for us to serve as our hot meal. Which is always a fan favorite around here. We saw many thumbs up and smiling faces enjoying this one today. Thank you so much to St. Peters Church for the ongoing support and for the role you play in our compassion kitchen.

Please note that as of now, the main bridge to the East End and St. Peter's Church is closed. One may walk there from Simpson Street using the underpass or use the alternate route described in this post if travelling by car. Bus services are also affected.

Canada Day breakfast after Mass this Sunday was a fun time and thanks are given to all who helped to set it up and later, to take it down. Thanks to God for our priest Father Joseph, for the good people of St. Peter's Church and for the country of Canada, strong and free.

Today, Father Arockiam blessed the fathers, grandfathers and godfathers on the occasion of Father's Day.

God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honour them always with a spirit of profound respect.

Three young people celebrated the sacrament of First Holy Communion on Sunday. Afterwards, everyone joined them for a nice time with food and a special cake. We all wish that God's love will stay with you for all of your life.
