Life experience, trials, sorrows, joys, stories, I take those experiences and turn them into lyrics and songs.
I started my songwriting journey at the age of 16. I am a self-taught guitar player and I would write using an old acoustic guitar passed down through the family. I never showed anybody my work until the age of 18, I remember the first time I played an original tune. My whole body was shaking from the nerves and I could not gain the courage to look into the audience. Worship leading has always been entangled in my music journey, that’s where I learnt stage skills, it gave me the confidence to look into the audience and connect. I decided to enrol at Prairie in their Music program, with an influence in songwriting. I have come out of this program with my very own, professionally recorded album called ‘Rewrite This Life.’
