We spend so much of our lives looking forward, looking down, looking at our phones, our schedules, our responsibilities...

But when was the last time you simply looked up?

This story isn’t really about wealth or poverty.

It’s about remembering.

Remembering that success is a blessing.
Remembering that making a living is a blessing.
Remembering that everything we have comes from Hashem.

Sometimes the greatest danger isn’t hardship.

It’s becoming so busy with the gifts that we forget the Giver.

Rebbe Nachman’s question is as relevant today as it was then:

“Did you look at the heavens today?”

So I’ll ask you the same thing.

When was the last time you stopped for a moment and looked up?

“a joke a day keeps the klipah away” sounds funny…
but it’s actually a serious idea.

Rebbe Nachman teaches that joy isn’t optional —
it’s how you break out of heaviness.

sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is
not take yourself so seriously.

so here’s the question:

when was the last time you let yourself be a little silly?

Did you know Rabbi Nachman gives a five-step path from overthinking, anxiety, and stress to a settled and connected mind?

They’re called the 5 Hehs:

המתן
pause before reacting.

התקשרות
reconnect to Hashem, the Tzaddik, truth, and your deepest self.

התבודדות
speak honestly in your own words.

הודאה
practice gratitude and notice what is already holding you up.

התחדשות
begin again with hope.

Pause.
Connect.
Speak.
Thank.
Renew.

Does anyone else feel mentally exhausted lately?

Not just tired physically.
But overstimulated. Constantly “on.” Always processing something.

It feels harder than ever to slow down, think clearly, or just be present.

Maybe peace doesn’t begin by escaping the world.
Maybe it begins by learning how to pause within it.

What’s one thing that genuinely helps you slow down mentally?

Everybody knows the name “Breslov.”
But where did it actually begin?

Who was Rebbe Nachman?
Why is there no new Rebbe after him?
How did one small town in Ukraine become a movement that still inspires people all over the world today?

This is the Breslov origin story.
The who.
The what.
The when.
The where.
The why.
And the how.

Which slide taught you something you never knew before?

I saw this video floating around one of the WhatsApp groups I’m in and I can’t stop watching it.

So naturally I had to share it.

The first time I heard this song, especially the moment Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach’s voice comes in, I got complete chills.

But beyond the music, the message hit me deeply.

There’s a Chassidic idea that wherever a person’s thoughts are, that’s where they truly are.

The greatest prison a person can experience isn’t always physical. Sometimes it’s the prison of the mind.

Like the famous quote from Viktor Frankl:
“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing… the freedom to choose one’s attitude.”

And I can’t help but think about the hostages of October 7th and what they must have gone through mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.

This song has been out for a while now, but every time I hear it, it hits differently.

Some songs don’t just sound beautiful.
They carry a soul.

(I take no credit for filming this video).

Thank you for the beautiful song!

Every day we’re given opportunities to bring a little more light into the world.

A mitzvah.
A kind word.
A moment of patience.
A smile.
A conversation about emunah.
Helping another Jew.
Choosing goodness when nobody’s watching.

Sometimes we think changing the world has to be something massive…
but maybe it starts with simply lighting up the corner we’re already standing in.

What are YOU doing to light up your corner of the world? 👇🔥
