Dorje Denma Ling Dorje Denma Ling is a residential retreat centre in the beautiful Tatamagouche area of Nova Scotia.

As part of the Shambhala Buddhist world-wide community, we offer a variety of programs related to mindfulness, meditation and creating a good society. Kyudo at Dorje Denma Ling:
New dates! September 4 - 6 2026

We warmly invite you to join the 2026 Kyudo Intensive at Dorje Denma Ling. This year, it will be taught by visiting Senior Student Max Baltin (from Germany), with Sam West.

Experienced Kyudo students are welcome to join us the whole weekend or for one day (Saturday or Sunday) and practice their long-distance shooting.

If you are new to Kyudo practice, we encourage you to join for the full two days so that you may take your first shot at the end of the weekend.

Kyudo integrates technical skill with the development of a completely focused and disciplined mind. It is a path of self-development and meditation that requires the archer to cultivate precision, a clear mind, and freedom from fear.
