Dear friends,

Good day! I hope everyone is doing well on this first day of September. Our next date for the Knox UC Coffee House and Open Mic is Friday, September 25 from 7 pm to 9 pm in the church hall. I hope you will be able to join us again or perhaps join us for the first time. All music styles are welcome along with poetry and story tellers. Please invite friends and family to join us for this friendly and community oriented event. Complimentary tea, coffee and cookies are always available.

Well the plant sale was great. Thank you to all the people who showed up.Thanks to the volunteers and those who dropped off plants. If you missed it or couldn't make it, we still have lots of plants left and they will be available at the church over the next few days. You can come after 1 on Sunday or between 9 & 4 during the week until Peg moves the plants out. Cucumbers, squash, tomatoes and esp. cabbages are available. Herbs include dill, basil, parsley, cumin and there are some flowers left. The lilac bushes are free and are on the front lawn at the church.

KNOX PLANT SALE. Last year many people donated plants to our sale and it was appreciated, especially perennials. If you want to bring plants to us we are setting up on Friday or can bring them Sat. Thanks .

Knox plant sale is coming up so mark your calendars. May 30 10-2 in the church hall. Plants are really doing well so far. We do have some flats for putting your plants in, but you may want to bring your own.

Plants are ready to go. If you want to beat the rush before the official plant sale I will be in the church from 7 - 8:30 tonight the 15th. As you can see by the picture they are healthy and ready to be hardened off. If you can't make it tonight but would like to come and get plants you can call 150-635-6603 and leave a message and I'll get back to you.

Update of plants that are ready to go at Knox. Here are pictures of the plants. As mentioned earlier I am available to have people get plants over the next three weeks. Call me at 250-635-6603 and leave a message.

The plants at the church are speeding right along and given the good weather there are a number that could be in gardens or greenhouses. So after Wed if you want to come and see what I have ready to go, leave a message at the church or call me at my home number 250-635-6603 and always leave a message as I will not return random numbers but will respond to a message. Keep tuned for pictures of what I have ready in the next few days. The main plant sale will still be May 30, but I'm sure the plants would like it to be sooner, but that is the only time available at the church.

And so it starts. Have waited longer to start seeds for the annual Knox Plant sale. Was not happy with the plants last year so hoping to have better ones this year. I veered away from the paper towel and baggies and moved onto seed snails. They seem to be working well. Here are some to the pictures so far. Just started most of these on the 22nd. Will be thinning them out as they progress. Next round of seeding will be 1st week of April. Plant sale is booked for May 30th. 10 - 2.
