Did you know that approximately 100,000 children lose their lives to abortion every year in Canada, including an estimated 42,000 in Ontario?

Here in Windsor and Essex County, there is one abortion facility, at Met Hospital. Through prayer, fasting and peaceful activism, we hope to see a day when abortion is no longer part of our community.

During 40 Days for Life, we come together to pray for an end to abortion, to support women facing difficult circumstances, and to stand up for the precious lives of unborn children who have no voice of their own.

You can make a difference through prayer and your presence.

The Cross is at the heart of our Christian faith.

It reminds us of the incredible love of Jesus — a love willing to give everything for our salvation.

The Cross also reminds us that suffering does not have the final word.

Love does.
Mercy does.
Resurrection does.

Today, let us look upon the Cross and remember the words of Jesus:

“This is how much I love you.”

We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You, because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world.
