Ladies just a little over a week before the NBBI Ladies Retreat, October 25 & 26. Following is information about the speaker:
Paula Dunn Egel & Emma Egel
Keynote
For the past 37 years, Paula Dunn has been using her dynamic voice and her unique story to encourage, challenge, and inspire audiences of all ages. Paula began performing concerts at the age of 14 and has released 14 solo albums.
Paula is a graduate of Liberty University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and a Master’s degree in counseling. While at Liberty University, Paula sang all across the United States and overseas, and she also sang for Dr. Jerry Falwell’s Old Time Gospel Hour weekly broadcast.
Paula’s singing and speaking was born out of a desire to help those who are hurting. Her personal story of triumph over tragedy allows Paula to relate to audiences of all ages and backgrounds as she shares of growing up with a father in prison, drugs and alcohol in the home, and a mom dying of cancer when she was 11 years old. However, she also shares how God’s grace reached down to rescue her as a young girl through a couple out on church visitation who came to her house, saw the need, and took her in and raised her. It was through this couple that Paula experienced God’s love in a real way and began a personal relationship with Him as a young girl.
Paula and her husband, Robb, have been married for over 27 years and reside in Lynchburg, Virginia with their 16 year-old daughter, Emma. Emma is going to be a junior at Liberty Christian Academy this fall and stays very busy singing, playing volleyball and basketball, and keeping up with her studies with highest honors. For the last 2 years, she has been traveling with Paula to help lead worship at ladies’ conferences, youth events, camps, and churches all across the country. Paula and Emma just released their first worship album together which they recorded in Nashville this past Spring. They look forward to singing and speaking for events in Virginia, Florida, Texas, New York, Minneapolis, and Maine over the next few months and consider it a true joy and privilege to sing for Jesus together as mother and daughter. It is their prayer for each event that God will be glorified and lives will be changed by the power of His love.
