We remember fondly another of our flock that passed recently.

In Loving Memory of
Jean Marie Stott,
Dec 12, 1933 – March 7, 2026
Jean passed away after a very brief battle with cancer.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Alan (2017).

She is lovingly remembered by her children Lesley (Jack), Barry, & Ian (Kathy). Grandchildren, Andrew, Sylken (John), Kittina (Jake), Ethan (Brook), Lucas (Aysha Rae) and Emma, and dearly treasured great-grandsons Arlen and Rory.

Jean is survived and missed by her sister Joyce Hill and nieces Jackie and Caroline and their families.

Jean was born in England, came to Canada with her husband Alan and 3 children in 1975. She enjoyed curling, gardening, and Guiding/Trefoil Guild
A thank you to the Lennox & Addington palliative team for the care of our Mum.

Memorial donations, for those wishing, may be made to the St. Paul’s Anglican church in Sydenham.

Jean has requested that there will be no formal memorial service. We find comfort in knowing that everyone who knew and loved Jean will celebrate her life privately, in a way that feels most personal and meaningful to them.

Friday, November 28 - Sydenham Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6pm at the Township Office parking lot (Let Dan know if you’d like to join us to sing carols!)

Sunday, November 30 - Regular Service at 10:00am

Sunday, December 7 - Regular Service at 10:00am; Special Vestry Meeting following Service to elect the incoming People's Warden; followed by a pizza lunch; followed by Christmas Tree and Church decorating - all are welcome and needed!

Sunday, December 14 - Regular Service at 10:00am;
Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at 7pm - We want to have a small choir for this event - please let Dan know if you are available to read a lesson or sing in the choir ASAP

Alumni Story: David Rankine

As part of Homecoming 2025 we are excited to explore the career journeys of some of our alumni since their graduation. Thank you to all those who shared their stories!

David Rankine (BEd'05) has been teaching music in Kingston area schools, community organizations, and historic sites for more than 25 years. Currently a K-8 Music teacher in Kingston, David is also a certified Teacher Trainer in First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege, and was recently appointed as the next Artistic Director for the Feierabend Association for Music Education.

TGIF! Today's TGIF picture in South Frontenac is of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Sydenham. Fun fact: the church, now on Mill St., used to be on Church St. before the railway came to the village and made the church move each brick of the church to this current location. The church was reconstructed in 1912. 📸by H.N
