Well ladies, that’s a wrap! Tonight’s potluck marked the end of another wonderful season of Ladies Night Out.

Thank you to all the ladies who make this ministry so special…from those who oversee and organize, to those who lead programs, step outside their comfort zones to share, work in the kitchen, and bring the snacks. Your time, talents, and caring hearts are what make this ministry such a success.

Most of all, thank you for encouraging, supporting, and uplifting one another week after week.
A special thank you to Maj. Elva for graciously opening her home to us for our potluck.

While our weekly gatherings are taking a break, keep an eye out for a possible summer get-together. Waiting until September to see each other again just seems far too long… and we may forget whose turn it is to bring the snacks!

Thank you, ladies, for another great season!

It was a beautiful weekend for a group of ladies from Georgina Corps who had the opportunity to gather with women from across the division at the On the Road Together Women’s Retreat 2026, held at the Jackson’s Point Retreat and Conference Centre.

We all came from different roads and experiences, yet what a blessing it was to come together in fellowship, worship, and encouragement. Hebrews 10:25 reminds us not to give up meeting together, but to encourage one another, and this weekend was a wonderful example of that.

Thank you to Maj. Brenda Allen for sharing thoughtful and inspiring messages encouraged us throughout the retreat, reminding us of God’s faithfulness and the blessings, to the Women’s Ministry Team for all their hard work in planning this special weekend ensuring every woman felt welcomed, seen, and valued.

Shout out to the staff at Jackson’s Point Retreat and Conference Centre for their warm hospitality, attention to every detail, and the delicious meals provided throughout the weekend.

While we may come from different roads, it was a blessing to travel together this weekend.

“Rejoice always.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16
Some days rejoicing feels easy. The sun is shining, life is going well, and our hearts feel light. But other days are harder. Stress, worries, disappointments, and busy schedules can make joy feel far away.

Yet this verse reminds us that joy is not only based on circumstances, it comes from knowing God is with us through every moment. Rejoicing always doesn’t mean when life feels perfect. It means choosing to remember God’s goodness even on difficult days.

Sometimes rejoicing looks simple:
• A thankful heart for another new day
• A smile shared with someone who needs encouragement
• A quiet prayer while driving to work
• Trusting God even when we don’t have all the answers

God’s joy gives us strength and reminds us that we are never walking alone.
May your heart find reasons to rejoice today, big or small.
Wishing everyone a blessed Friday filled with peace, joy, and God’s presence.

As we begin to wrap up another wonderful season of Ladies Night Out, our “May Tea” was the perfect way to celebrate together it really felt like a beautiful garden party!

The ladies arrived in their lovely florals and fancy hats, ready for an evening filled with fellowship and conversation. And if there’s one thing this group never runs short of, it’s things to talk about! It was cheerful chatter all evening long….and lots of tea and treats.

Thank you to Phyllis, Sandy, and Alice for preparing all the delicious fancy treats and for making every lady feel so special and welcomed. Everything looked beautiful…with lots of tea and treats.

Friendly reminder, our last Ladies Night Out next Tuesday starts at 6 pm!

What a wonderful Sunday it was as we welcomed Odin Timothy Barthau into our church family through Baby Dedication.

As a church family, we pray God’s blessings upon Odin and the entire Barthau family as they continue this beautiful journey of faith together.

It was also special to have members of the Barthau family join us for this occasion, especially Lt. April and the children who travelled from the UK to be here for the dedication. It was a beautiful time of worship, family, and celebration together. Thank you to Major Donna for your thoughtful message on family.

It’s Friday …don’t forget to take care of yourself too this week. Rest, breathe, and make time for the things that refresh your heart. 💛

What a perfect day for a walk! The weather and temperature couldn’t have been better, and everything cooperated for us. It didn’t even feel like we had walked that far!

We may have walked more than 15K, but the scenic route was definitely worth it and made the jaunt even more enjoyable.

A big thank you to Maj. Elva for hosting us and treating us to her homemade desserts, Linda for preparing such a delicious luncheon and Mike our check point person. Thank you as well to Lt. Jenny for cheering us on at the finish line!

Most of all, thank you to everyone for your support, encouragement, and motivation along the way. We truly appreciate
it!

Today’s the Dynamic Duo’s 15K Walk-a-Thon for Partners in Mission! ☀️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

We’re starting in Jackson’s Point, at 9 am, and making our way to Keswick. It’s bright, sunny, a little cool… the perfect walking weather (at least that’s what we’ll keep telling ourselves by the 10km😄).
THANK YOU to everyone who has already sponsored us. Your support means a lot and helps support the work of The Salvation Army worldwide as we work toward the territorial goal of $2.4 million.

It’s still not too late to donate and help us reach our corps goal! Every pledge helps keep us motivated… although we must say, the delicious snack waiting at the finish line is also pretty strong motivation too 🍪😂

Thanks for walking alongside us in spirit.🥾🥾
