1 September marks the beginning of the Season of Creation and is observed by many Christians as Creation Day. The Feast of Creation in Christ may be celebrated on 1 September or on the first Sunday in September.

While many churches mark this season through worship and prayer, individuals, families and small groups can also take part through personal prayer, reflection and Bible study.

Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. James Church,

For nearly 170 years people have been worshipping at St. James Church. Our ongoing Mission is to preserve the Church for future generations.
In the spring of 2025 the soffit, fascia and eaves-trough were replaced on the South side of the Church and the back of Church House at a cost of around $6,000.00.
As part of our ongoing commitment to Preserve St. James we are again looking at new flooring for the Narthex, carpeting for the Church and possibly new Altar Kneeler Cushions. These projects were delayed when we had the ice damage to the Eaves, fascia and soffits that we could not put off replacing.
We ask that you prayerfully consider making a donation to the ‘Preserve St. James’ Church fund. This will help to replenish our reserve funds so that the Parish can continue to provide Christian Worship, service and witness in our Community.
It will also help to contribute to our ongoing list of work to be done as stated above.
Through your very generous donations over the last few years we have: restored the Artwork, repaired and painted the ceiling, walls, pews and floors in the interior, restored and painted all the exterior woodwork on the Church and Tower/Steeple, replaced a large rotted beam under the church, waterproofed the foundation around the church, upgraded some of the electrical, improved some of the lighting, and secured the Altar Rail.
Your Corporation, that you entrusted, continue to pray for your good health and spiritual well-being.

Prayer Chain
The parish has operated a confidential prayer chain for over 30 years. Members remember those in need of prayer during their own personal prayer time.
