What an unforgettable week of wildlife, learning, and adventure! 🌴✨

We were so excited to welcome our amazing guests from Urban Safari Rescue Society! 🐾 Their visit gave our kids the chance to get up close with incredible animals while learning about wildlife, compassion, and the importance of protecting and caring for animals. ❤️

From curious questions to excited smiles, Week 7 was definitely one to remember! 🥰

As summer winds down and fall routines begin, it’s the perfect time to reconnect—with others, with community, and with a sense of belonging. ❤️🤍

This September, The Salvation Army – Surrey Ministries is welcoming the return of two meaningful community programs:

👵 Senior Program — a safe and welcoming space to build friendships, stay active, enjoy activities, share conversations, and feel connected.

🌸 Pink Days — a supportive space for women to connect, encourage one another, share experiences, and learn together in a caring, judgment-free environment.

Because sometimes, connection is exactly what we need. Everyone deserves a place where they feel seen, supported, valued, and welcomed. 🤝

What an amazing way to wrap up another fun-filled week of our Summer Program! 🤍❤️

We were excited to welcome the Surrey Police Service to our program! 👮‍♀️👮🏼 Our children had the opportunity to learn more about what police officers do, how they help keep our community safe, and the important role they play in serving our neighbourhoods.

It was a fun, educational, and meaningful visit—and we’re so grateful to our officers for spending time with our kids and answering their questions! 🫶

Thank you to everyone who continues to make our Summer Program a place where kids can learn, connect, have fun, and build community! ☀️

We are excited to welcome Julius to The Salvation Army Surrey Ministries family as our new Community Ministries Coordinator!

In this role, Julius will help strengthen our community by coordinating outreach programs, supporting our food bank and emergency assistance services, connecting individuals and families with vital resources, and working alongside our incredible volunteers to bring hope where it’s needed most. His passion for serving others will help us continue making a meaningful difference in Surrey.

🎬🍽️ Week 5: Little Chefs was packed with creativity, laughter, and unforgettable adventures!

This week, our students didn’t just have fun in the kitchen—they explored their imaginations through dramatic play, exciting games, creative crafts, team challenges, and so much more! From acting out hilarious scenes to encouraging one another and making new friends, every day was filled with moments of joy, confidence, and discovery. 🌟🎭💛

At The Salvation Army Summer Program, every activity is an opportunity to learn, grow, and create lasting memories in a safe and caring community.

A big thank you to our incredible staff, volunteers, and families for making another amazing week possible. We can’t wait to see what exciting adventures await in Week 6!
