Marking Sacred Moments

Beacon Lay Chaplains: Laura Redmond and Janet Pivnick

Lay Chaplains offer rites of passage to mark the sacred moments in the lives of the community. In this service, Beacon’s Lay Chaplains will talk about the importance of these moments and share some of their processes and considerations when they design and officiate at a rite of passage.

The service will also include a rite of passage—the installation of Beacon’s newest lay chaplain, Laura Redmond.

Join us on March 8th at 2:30pm for worship with Guest Minister Rev. Debra Faulk at South Fraser Unitarians.

Our March theme, inspired by Soul Matters, is “Paying Attention” — an invitation to slow down, notice what matters, and honour what calls for our care.

We’ll also be celebrating International Women’s Day, grounding ourselves in our shared commitment to justice, equity, and the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
