Have you ever thought about what it really looks like to share the good news of Jesus—and who God might be inviting you to reach? If that question resonates with you, I’d love for you to join me for a 4-week video series called Witness.

This series takes a thoughtful West Coast approach to outreach, beginning with love, hospitality, a deep trust in the Holy Spirit to bring about change in others, and sharing the Good News. Together, we’ll look at how Jesus lived out His mission—His heart, His purpose, and His way of connecting with people. As we learn from Him, our desire is to grow in compassion, build genuine relationships, gather people around our tables, and discover natural, meaningful ways to share the Good News in everyday life.

When: Tuesdays, May 12 – June 2, 7:00 PM Where: Gracepoint Church, Room 101 (downstairs)For more information or to sign up, contact Pastor Steve at [email protected].

"What you believe about God affects how you live out your faith with God... the Trinity underlines the fact that God did not BECOME a Father, God is eternally a Father... the creator and source of all life."

What do we believe — and why does it matter?

This is the question we're sitting with as we begin a new sermon series walking through the Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith. More than a doctrinal checklist, the Confession is an invitation to reflect on the story of God and how we, as a church, are called to live within it.

We'd encourage you to read it before we begin. Take your time with it. Let it raise questions. You can find the full text at https://www.mennonitebrethren.ca/summary-of-the-confession-of-faith/

We're looking forward to exploring it together — slowly, carefully, and with open hearts.

The narrative of the solitary, sincere individual against the corrupt and inept institution of the church has a lot of caché in our culture.

Christ’s bride, the church, is not yet fully mature. She isn’t yet fully washed, and as my mentor used to say, sometimes she stinks. And that immaturity can wreak havoc on relationships- drive us to give up the whole church thing.

But Jesus loves his bride. He gave his life for his bride. From before the foundation of the world and every moment since, he has been invested in her good and her destiny of being resplendent and pure.

That means whatever disagreements we have with other believers, frustrations or wrongs we have to work through, we love His church.
