Mark your calendars to attend this year’s most exciting event. The British Columbia & Yukon

State Golf Tournament, come out and meet your State Executive Offices while earning money to support your Council’s projects. Tournament open to all Knights, their Ladies and Friends.

Solicit Hole Sponsors (minimum donation $100)­ 80%(net) goes to your Council & 20% to State.

As District # 6 is host to this Year's Tournament this includes:
Council’s # 4767, # 9534, # 10277 and # 14110

As the country celebrates its 149th birthday on Friday, there are many different ways Canadians mark the occasion. I will be also be celebrating it with Canada as my 57th birthday.

Please wish me a happy birthday by LIKING or posting and commenting on what makes you proud to be a Canadian...

Today people don’t always have a lot choices about where they get to live. There’s something about being Canadian, being able to grow up here is incredible. Whether it's a small town called St. Albert Alberta, Abbotsford, the big city Vancouver or beautiful Vancouver Island, I have always been proud to be part of this great country.

Here are just a few things that I am proud of when I think of Canada, and I am hoping you will add a few of your own to this list...

Clean Water - to drink bath and swim in.

Fresh Food - to share with my family and friends

Health Care and Medicine - for when my loved ones were sick

Shelter - a roof over our head that is warm and dry, a place to call home and to invite you in.

Education - a book, a piece of paper and a pencil, or the University of British Columbia that shapes the great minds our future.

Art - a crayon, a piece of music, the Ballet... the things that inspire me and touch my heart.

Employment - (Office Move Pro) being able to provide for our family and lend my name to a respectful company.

FREEDOM - The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
(a) freedom of conscience and religion;
(b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
(c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
(d) freedom of association...

But the one thing I am most proud of is how we love and care for one another no matter our social and political influences, race, culture, religion or nationality. And I don't always get it right myself, the thing of it is the majority of the time I do and I'd like to think the majority of Canadians do too.
