Walk to Bethlehem
Come be part of a beautiful celebration of the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ!!
As we prepare to bring Walk to Bethlehem to life, we invite members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, friends of other faiths, and members of our community to join us as part of the cast and crew.
Through this special portrayal of the journey to Bethlehem and the events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ, we hope to create an experience that draws hearts toward the Saviour and reminds us of the hope, peace, love, and joy His birth brought into the world.
No previous acting or production experience is necessary. We simply invite you to come with a willing heart and a desire to help share the beautiful message of Christmas.
All are welcome. All faiths. All backgrounds. Friends and families.
✨ Come walk with us to Bethlehem.
✨ Come help tell His story.
✨ Come celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Surrey Stake will be having our annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 20th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Please save the date on your calendar and invite all of your friends. This is a great chance to get in the Christmas spirit, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ through song.

If you would like to be involved in the concert, you can participate in one of two ways:

Join the Stake Choir. Stake choir will be rehearsing on Sundays from 4:15 to 5:30pm in the Stake Center starting this upcoming Sunday (October 18). All voices are welcome.
Perform as a soloist or as part of a small group. If this is of interest to you, please e-mail Sister Kervin at [email protected].

We warmly invite you to join us for a special afternoon of faith, friendship, and meaningful dialogue at the Interfaith Symposium: "The Love of God."

This unique event will bring together women of different faith traditions to share perspectives, strengthen understanding, and celebrate our shared belief in God's love for His children. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we value opportunities to build bridges of friendship and learn from one another in a spirit of respect and goodwill.

What might change if we trusted God’s view of our potential more than anyone else’s?

Sometimes we can underestimate the power of encouragement.

Throughout Isaiah 40–‍49, the Lord not only promises help but also expresses confidence in our abilities to become, endure, and overcome.

We often focus on our need to believe in Christ, but Isaiah’s message reminds us that Christ also believes in our potential to become like Him. His encouragement comes from perfect knowledge, not wishful thinking or flattery. He sees strengths we may overlook and possibilities we may not yet see in ourselves.

Elder Clement M. Matswagothata described Jesus Christ as “the Good Shepherd, who leads us to green pastures and still waters [see Psalm 23:2; John 10:11].”
Knowing that Christ sees us, guides us, and walks with us makes Isaiah’s invitation to “fear thou not” (Isaiah 41:10) feel less like a command and more like a promise.

What would change in your life if you trusted Christ's view of your potential a little more today?

As disciples of Jesus Christ, we seek opportunities to strengthen our communities, foster understanding, and build bridges of faith, kindness, and service. We believe that when people of goodwill come together, they can help create a more compassionate, Christ-centered world.
We invite members, friends, families, and community partners to join us for "HOPE: Building the Future Together," an inspiring interfaith gathering hosted by the Multifaith Action Society. This special event will bring together voices from diverse faith communities to reflect on the power of hope, encourage meaningful dialogue, and celebrate the launch of the 2027 Moments of Hope Multifaith Calendar.

This Thanksgiving season, we invite you and your family to join us in becoming the Lord's hands in serving those in need. Every donation, every act of kindness, and every moment of service can bring hope and comfort to our neighbours in the community.
The Savior taught us to care for one another,
"bear one another's burdens, that they may be light" and "mourn with those that mourn."
-- Modiah 18 :8-9
and as King Benjamin reminds us:
“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”
— Mosiah 2:17

Together, let's show our gratitude by sharing what we have and following the example of Jesus Christ. We invite all individuals and families to participate in the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive and help make a difference in the lives of others.
