Honey-Pour Season over here at the cemetery! We've also just received a load of garlic from our friends at Yellowbrick Farms to top up our sponsoring families!

Whether you're dropping by for a visit or thinking about staying longer term, when you work with us you're supporting family businesses- from beekeepers & farmers, to stone carvers and landscapers. Thanks for helping us keep Heritage Gardens ! 🙂🌻

Big Thanks to The Honest to Goodness Farm Company, our beekeeper Carolyn for our first open hive last Saturday! We spent an hour with our memorial hive sponsors and got to know the bees on a whole new level. Thanks to everyone who came out!

Our hearts are heavy today with the news of the Lapu Lapu festival in Vancouver. We send our thoughts, prayers and condolences to the families affected by this tragedy and to the greater Filipino Community. Senseless and cowardly violence on innocents- how deeply saddening. 😔

Worth a read!

"Hiroyuki Sanada once said: 'There are those who want a swimming pool in the house, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a deep sense of loss, while others who hold them close often complain about them. Those who do not have a partner yearn for him, but those who have, sometimes do not value him. The hungry would give anything for a plate of food, while the well-fed complains about the taste. The one who doesn't have a car dreams, while the one who has one is always looking for a better one. The key is to be grateful, look carefully at what we have and understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what you already have and don't appreciate.”

September at Heritage Gardens means it’s time for our annual honey pour! 🍯 A huge thank you to all of our 21 sponsors, families and members of the community who participated this year. Our busy worker bees produced 465 lbs. of honey from our 16 hives, which will be distributed amongst our sponsors and the families we serve. Special thanks to Carolyn from The Honest to Goodness Farm Company for making it all possible. 🐝
