With mental health being a significant factor in the life of a young adult, the Catholic Young Adults of Surrey (CYAS) would love to invite you for our three-part series of mental health discussions.

The first talk, titled Heart & Home features Sarah Ruggier, and Steve Ching, registered clinical counsellors, who will discuss how family and relationships ties into one’s mental well-being and what to do about it. It will take place on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at 7 PM in the St. Matthew's Parish Centre.

We’re hosting a “How to Have the BEST Lent Ever” event on Friday, February 16th from 6pm to 8:30pm at the St. Matthew’s Parish Centre (Room 1) for all young adults.

The event will feature a Fr. Mark Gazin, CSB to discuss Lent, the history of fasting, almsgiving and prayer and how to have a really good Lent this year!

We will be having our Friday Adoration Night on Friday, February 2nd at OLGC. Mass starts at 7pm followed by Adoration. We’ll be also have fellowship afterwards.

Fun fact: The first Friday of every month is a particular devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus!

CYAS is hosting a “How to have the BEST lent ever?” event on February 16th, Friday from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the parish centre.

We will have a special guest come in and give a talk on Lent, the history of fasting, almsgiving and prayer and how to have a really good Lent this year.

The Rescue Project is a multi-week video series that tells the story of the gospel. It offers an opportunity for a Spirit-filled response to what is proclaimed, and catapults us out into the world on mission to go and rescue others.

Join the Catholic Young Adults of Surrey as we seek to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way over eight weeks in a small group format.

This is your friendly reminder that we’ll be hosting our first Sports and Board Games Night of the year in the Don Bosco Youth Centre at Our Lady of Good Counsel on Sunday, January 21st, 2024 (less than a week away!).

The evening starts at 7pm and we’ll have volleyball, basketball, as well as, various board games for you to enjoy with old and new friends.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
