This Sunday, April 26, at 10:30am, Myoshoji Temple will commemorate the Risshu-e Ceremony to celebrate the establishment of True Buddhism. Let's join together!

On April 28, 1253, at the top of Mount Seicho as the sun rose above the Pacific Ocean, our founder, Nichiren Daishonin, joined his hands in prayer, began to chant the Daimoku, "Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo," three times, and declared the establishment of True Buddhism.

The Daishonin states, “Single-mindedly chant Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo and encourage others to do the same. This will remain as your only memory from this present, human life.”
On this occasion of Risshu-e, let’s express our gratitude and make a determination to follow Nichiren Daishonin’s teachings.

Please join us tomorrow, 3/22/26, @ 10:30am for our Spring Higan-e Ceremony.

On this day, we make offerings to the Gohonzon, establish memorial tablets (tobas) and perform memorial services for our ancestors and deceased loved ones. This small good deed becomes a great positive act, enabling them to cross a great river of suffering, earthly desire, and karma, then reaching the other shore of enlightenment.

In a spirit of appreciation, let’s attend the Spring Higan-e Ceremony to repay our debt of gratitude to our ancestors and deceased loved ones!
