BIGTIME Kids is a ministry of Calvary Christian Church in Surrey, BC. We provide weekly programs for children as well as special events for children and families. The kids ministry in Calvary utilizes many different teaching methods including live action videos and performances, object lessons, small group lessons, music, and more! All of this is done in an age-appropr
iate environment to teach children the principles and values that will help them become the leaders God has designed them to be. Imagine a child-targeted kid’s ministry where the Bible is creatively taught and expressed, where its truths are presented in relevant ways, where shepherding kids is intentional, where kids are safe to be who they are and ask questions, and where discovering God’s truth is fun. Guess What, it’s happening right here at Calvary Christian Church. While Mom and Dad are enjoying a celebration in our main auditorium the kids get to have their own program that is relevant to them. Our BIGTIME Kid's Ministry is designed for children from 0 through grade 5. We have a fully equipped and supervised Nursery facility which is suitable for children aged 0 - 24 months. Our toddlers class is for age 2, and our Preschool covers ages 3-5. Children grades K-1, 2-3, and 3-5 are each in their own respective program where they will hear a message based on a Bible point using a variety of mediums such as puppets, videos, actors or random craziness. Our Jr. leadership program involves young people from grade 6 - 8 and gives them an opportunity to serve in an area they are comfortable with. Many have been mentored under leadership in childrens ministry and become leaders in our church as a result. BIGTIME Mid-Week
From September through April kids grades K-5 can register to be a part of our mid-week programs where they will experience games, crafts, snacks, music, and more. We have two mid-week programs designed for grade K-3 and grades 4-5. These programs run on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm-8pm.
