🙌 From Counting Crowds to Making Disciples!
Pastor Emmanuel from Harare, Zimbabwe, shares how F4L’s discipleship training in Domboshava changed his perspective on ministry. Through Bishop Nolan Rupiya’s teaching, he was reminded that Jesus calls us not simply to gather crowds, but to make disciples.
Now, he’s returning to his church with a plan to start a discipleship class! What began as a training workshop became a personal revival and a fresh vision for ministry.
This is the heart of discipleship: making disciples who make disciples!
"My name is Pastor Emmanuel, I am a pastor from Harare. I want to sincerely thank Healing Missions International Churches and Foundation for Living Canada for organizing the Discipleship Training in Domboshava. I have been pastoring focusing on growing numbers. I thought success was about how many people come on Sunday. But during this training, Bishop Nolan Rupiya opened my eyes. I learned that Jesus' command was not to make crowds, but to make disciples.
The manual gave me deep insight on who should be a disciple and what it takes to be a disciple. I realized I had many converts but few disciples. The teaching on the cost of discipleship, carrying the cross daily, and abiding in the Word challenged me personally first before I can teach others. I am going back to our church to start a proper discipleship class. This training was not just a workshop, it was revival for me. The food, the materials, the organization was excellent.
