VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We’re looking for 20+ people each day to help our neighbours who have lost their homes and suffered damages sift through their properties and search for treasures buried in the rubble.

No experience necessary, just a willing heart to offer comfort, support, and hope.

Let’s be His hands and feet and show our community they’re not alone.

Julia Street Community Church, Lakeside Calvary Chapel, and Summerland Baptist Church invite you to join us for an evening of prayer and worship.

As churches and as believers, we are coming together in unity to seek God, worship together, and pray over our community. This is an opportunity to gather as one Body, united by our faith in Jesus and our love for the community we call home.

Come join us as we lift our voices, seek God together, and pray for our community, our neighbours, and one another.

We know the recent evacuation has been a lot for families, and we’d love to give kids a chance to get out of the smoke, burn some energy, and have some fun!

Join us next week Monday to Thursday from 12:30pm to 3pm for a **FREE afternoon of games, open gym time, snacks, and plenty of fun** for children entering **Kindergarten through Grade 6 this fall**.

While the kids enjoy an afternoon with us, parents and caregivers can take a few hours to get things done, take a breather, or simply enjoy a little time to themselves.

**Everyone is welcome, and there is absolutely no cost to attend!**

Come drop the kids off, let them play, and enjoy a little break. We can’t wait to have some fun together!

Join us next week for Tumble Time: Summer Edition!

A fun space for little ones to move, play, and burn off some energy while parents and caregivers enjoy a great cup of coffee and connect with others in our community.
Tumble Time is designed for children ages 5 and under, with plenty of room to play and explore in the gym.

Do you have older siblings to bring? No problem! We’ll have a separate supervised area just for older siblings, filled with games, crafts, and activities. They can have fun too, while we keep the gym space safe for our littlest tumblers.
Come hang out, grab a coffee, make some new friends, and enjoy some summer fun together! Please note this area is meant for siblings who need to accompany those attending Tumble Time we will have a separate program for elementary aged kids!

Tumble Time: Summer Edition — happening Monday August 24th to Thursday August 27th from 9:30am to 11:30am

We are opening our doors as a support centre this Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm!

To those in need and affected by the fire: We have clothing, food, toiletries and more available for you!

We will have this available in the basement of Julia Street Community Church- 9918 Julia Street.

CLEAN UP SUMMERLAND

Our town got hit hard by the wildfire, and we're rallying to help our neighbours get back on their feet. Summerland Baptist Church, Julia Street Community Church, and Lakeside Calvary Chapel have teamed up to organize volunteers for:

Ash cleanup, Yard & property cleanup for fire-damaged homes, Harvest / crop-picking help for small growers racing to save their fruit

Saturday, August 22 & Sunday, August 23 | 12-5 PM Meet at Summerland Baptist Church for dispatch.

We are asking every believer to set aside 15 minutes each day at 10am for the next week, in order to pray for the wildfire situation in Summerland and the surrounding area. You can pray from wherever you are, with whoever you are with, and however you see fit. Each day, there will be a suggested prayer point to guide you in how to pray. We believe that prayer is powerful and it can move mountains, please join us in praying for our community.

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. 17Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! 18Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. - James 5:16-18
