RATIONALE
In a world shaken by political unrest, economic instability, moral decline, and growing uncertainty, many hearts are searching for a security that human systems cannot give. The Philippines itself continues to carry the weight of poverty, corruption, injustice, and calamity — burdens that leave countless families anxious and many losing hope. These realities point to a single, unchanging need: a Father who reigns, and a Father who loves.
Abba Father is both. He is Sovereign King, whose kingdom is everlasting and whose dominion endures through every generation and every crisis. But His throne is not distant or cold — it is the throne of a Father. He rules not merely with authority but with the tenderness of One who has lavished His love on us and called us His own children. His reign is not something we fear from a distance; it is a Kingdom we are invited into as sons and daughters.
This is the cry the Spirit places in every believer's heart: “Abba, Father” — not the cry of a servant seeking to earn favor, but the cry of a child who belongs. It is a cry for help in trial, a cry of adoration in worship, a cry for divine intervention when the way seems impossible, and a cry of victory when breakthrough comes. In every season, the posture remains the same — a child safely held by a Sovereign Father.
Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide was not born of human strategy or ambition. As Bro. Eddie Villanueva has often reminded us, JIL is a church born in the heart of God — conceived in the Father's love before it was ever established as a ministry. For 48 years, that heart has been our foundation: His reign has given us direction when the nation and the world offered none, and His love has given us identity when we needed to know whose we are. The growth of this movement across nations and generations has never been sustained by human effort alone, but by the hand of a Father who rules over all things for the good of His children, and the love of a Father who calls us near.
As JIL Church Worldwide marks this milestone and looks toward its Golden Anniversary, the theme “Abba Father” calls the entire church — pastors, workers, and members alike — to a deeper submission to the Father's reign and a deeper rest in the Father's love. To submit to His Kingdom is not to lose ourselves, but to find our truest identity as His children. To rest in His love is not to grow passive, but to be strengthened for greater mission, greater unity, and greater impact for the nations.
For 48 years, Abba Father has reigned over this ministry, and Abba Father has loved this ministry as His own. Born in His heart, sustained by His rule, and secured in His love — JIL Church Worldwide moves forward, crying out still: Abba Father!
