How it all began
Our very good friend, Heather, was chatting with her daughter, Mollie, going over some of her wedding plans. I’ve known Heather, Mollie and big brother Max for a lot of years. Ever since Max was in my cub pack. Heather & Mollie were very active volunteers in our group.
So, as Mollie & Heather were talking, Mollie innocently asked, “I wonder if Ron would get licensed and marry us.”. And that’s how it all began, the rest is history.
I found just the right group to become affiliated with, The Community Catholic Church of Canada. An incredible group of Chaplains, Deacons, Priests and Bishops all with a common goal. In the service of marriage, to be a welcoming and inclusive group providing personal and personalized services to our couples.
It was my honour to be involved in Mollie’s big day. My gift to her were my services as her Officiant, her gift to me, amazingly enough was the gift of her request and my becoming ordained and licensed to perform marriages. I have been blessed ever since, being there for so many couples as they celebrate one of the most significant events in their lives.
