Following is a list of The Top 10 Faux Pas Embraced by Young Souls. Even old souls can get stuck. So are you? The trick is to self-ID and then change something/your mind/attitude/belief to get over the obstacle.

10. Thinking happiness depends on circumstances.

9. Holding back love for fear of being hurt.

8. Believing that karma or spiritual contracts are absolute.

7. Waiting for their ducks to line up before acting.

6. Believing in only one soul mate.

5. Attaching to details and outcomes.

4. Thinking they have dues to pay.

3. Trying to figure out HOW their dream will come true.

2. Thinking God decides who gets what.

1. Asking others what they should do.

So proud of you,

The Universe

PS. And be happy, regardless. It is a choice, y'know.

Friend/Family Ceremony from the Om:

With practice, we may learn to recognize the feeling that comes when a loved one sends energy our way and the feeling of soul-to-soul communication.

Life’s journeys may sometimes take us away from our family and friends, but there are many ways to stay connected. Aside from making use of the technology available to us, we can craft simple ceremonies rooted in nature to connect our hearts across the miles.

The first step in creating your ceremony is to look to nature for similarities in the different surroundings you and your loved ones inhabit. The second step is agreeing upon something that is meaningful to all involved. If your mother loves birds, then perhaps each time you hear a bird chirp, you can think of her and mentally send love. You may choose the sight of a butterfly, the feel of a breeze or raindrops, or the scent of flowers to remind you of a special someone. The pink glow of sunset might be your favorite time to send a thought, or perhaps the warming oranges of sunrise. The monthly full moon may be your time to connect with your loved ones, or the first star you see each night, knowing that they, too, are gazing into the night sky and sending love. You could choose a day that you would usually celebrate together, such as a holiday or a solstice. If you once shared Sunday brunches in the garden, you can each seek out a garden on Sundays. Or you can choose a specific time and account for the time difference in order to connect by heart and mind at exactly the same moment.

With practice, we may learn to recognize the feeling that comes when a loved one sends energy our way and the feeling of soul-to-soul communication. In this case, distance may indeed make our connections stronger. There is so much that can make us think of our close friends and loved ones, but when we decide upon a reminder together, we create a powerful ritual of connection that defies any distance.

Ephesians 4:32 ESV
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Really, really tough sometimes. Life can deal out some pretty harsh terms by nasty people. There are frenemies, faminies, and fanemies lurking about - and it may seem like their 'soul' /sole mission is to take you down.

But at the end of the day, JC faced the darkest torments and forgave all - so we too are called to emulate that grace. (70 x 7)

There is no problem, conflict, challenge, grievance, symptom, twitch, spasm, ache, or pain, dear One—including all those you attribute to external causes—that cannot be spontaneously solved, vanquished, released, blessed, dissolved, erased, cleared, balanced, or overcome by seeing what you have not yet allowed yourself to see.

That’s why you have them.

Fun, huh?

P.S. The truth will set you free. (Though sometimes you desperately do NOT want to see it.) Dancing helps too.

Can't say it any better than The OM. In brief, jealousy, envy and greed are all on par in my view of abhorrence on the emo spectrum. They all lead to destruction in one way or another; in relationships of any nature.

Here goes:

Our lives are an exercise in facing challenges. We dream the grandest of dreams as youngsters only to discover that we must cultivate copious inner strength and determination in order to meet our goals. Our hard work does not always yield the results we expect. And it is when we find ourselves frustrated by the trials we face or unable to meet our own expectations that we are most apt to take notice of those individuals who appear to accomplish great feats effortlessly.

Some people’s lives seem to magically fall into place. We can see the blessings they have received and the ease with which they have attained their desires, their unwavering confidence, and their wealth. But we can never see the whole story of their lives, so it is important to refrain from passing judgment or becoming envious.

Throughout our lives, we glimpse only the outer hull of others’ life experiences, so it’s tempting to presuppose that the abundance they enjoy is the result of luck rather than diligent effort. In a small number of cases, our assumptions may mirror reality. But very few people “have it easy.” Everyone must overcome difficulties, and everyone has been granted a distinctive set of talents with which to do so.

An individual who is highly gifted may nonetheless have to practice industriously and correct themselves repeatedly in order to cultivate their talents. Their myriad accomplishments are more likely the result of ongoing hard work and sacrifice. You, no doubt, have natural abilities that you have nurtured, and your gifts may be the very reason you strive as tirelessly as you do. Yet others often see only the outcome of your efforts and not the efforts themselves.

Our intellects, our hearts, and our souls are constantly being tested by the universe. Life will create new challenges for you to face each time you prove yourself capable of overcoming the challenges of the past. The tests you will be given will be as unique as you are. If you focus on doing the best you can and making use of the blessings you have been granted, the outcome of your efforts will be a joyous reflection of your dedication.

OH YES, Grasshopper,

The evolution of all spiritual life, includes 3 absolutes:

You will love.
You will be loved.
And #1 will eventually be far more important to you than #2.

LOVE,
The Universe
P.S. That’s when an old soul, becomes an old soul.

From really far out in space, do you know what your sun looks like?
A star.

And from any distance, do you know what you look like?
A superstar.

Love you like crazy glue,
The Universe

P.S. Sometimes you make these things so easy to write, Starshine!

WOW - St. Anthony working overtime today. I had lost my cell phone and a precious vial of holy oil over the weekend; when shuffling props, sets, etc. for debut of my play, Uisce Beatha Blues. And a few prayers later - BEHOLD....each were found in different spots. Then I returned to my desk to find this short message from the TUT:

No one loses anything, RL, that doesn’t eventually come back.
Love, grins, and horseshoes -
The Universe

P.S. And usually, RL, it comes back bigger, better, and zippier.

PS> from RL: The nature of my play is around the loss of sacred water and the resultant disenfranchised grief experienced by those who lost it.

You can't make this stuff up.

So as I am personally going through some high stress with a play that is debuting this weekend, and am working with my sixth leading lady (a story worthy of a great bottle of merlot and a stiff breeze), I felt this missive from the OM was worthy of sharing:

We know more about stress now than at any other time in history — how it lives in the body, how deeply it can affect our health, and the many ways it can influence the nervous system. The question now is: How do we begin to gently work with — and heal from — whatever stress we might be carrying?

While it’s true that we can’t change what’s out of our control, we can begin to change the way we meet ourselves from this moment on. Healing often starts with something simple, yet profound like turning back toward our own needs. So often, our first instinct is to push them aside. We work through lunch. We keep going when we’re running on empty. And we override our body’s desire for rest and rejuvenation. However, when we stop and listen, new possibilities exist. (FOR ME, I LOVE TO WALK LABYRINTHS - Remember, it's a method of finding one's way/way-finding; NOT a maze which is created to confuse or cause one to get lost)

Thank goodness we have the support of each other and inspiring teachers who have devoted their lives to inner work and the discovery of wisdom. They bring with them holistic resources and timeless practices — each benefiting us in different ways. And when we turn to them, we can begin to tend to the places within us that feel weary, guarded, or stretched too thin. And little by little, we create more space for ease and a steadier sense of emotional harmony.

PS. Many communities host labyrinth walks for peace on May 2 at 1pm. Try one if you haven't before - it makes great medicine.
