Many families in our community are forced to choose between purchasing school supplies and meeting basic needs like groceries or utility bills. We partner together with Neighbourlink Parkland to help by collecting monetary donations (given through our usual S**C methods and designated "NeighbourLink Back to School"), Walmart gift cards ($25-$50 range), and donations of school supplies (see the list provided in the foyer display). Bring in your contributions by Aug 9 and help us "fill the backpacks" in our foyer display for this campaign!

On August 4th at 7PM S**C Men are going to be connecting together at the Dog Rump Creek Disc Golf Course at Rotary Park.

We will be meeting there and hearing from Mike Piska who was instrumental in its development. Don't fret if you've never played before as there will be tips and guidance on how to play, and there will be discs provided. Come on out and enjoy time together.

Join us at Jubilee Park THIS FRIDAY at 7PM as we worship Jesus together with other churches from the Tri-Region. We have a team from S**C who will be leading alongside other worship leader in our community. Come and help “keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3)

This summer we are hosting some drop-in Summer Sessions built around learning new ways to pray. Over four Tuesday nights this summer we will spend time learning about a prayer practice, trying out that prayer practice, and then debriefing it. We will be meeting on July 14 & 28 and August 11 & 25.

There is no requirement to be present at all gatherings - come when you can!. The nights will go from 6:30-8PM. We will explore themes of praying Scripture, prayer walks, creative prayer, and contemplative prayer.

Join the Church Center group to participate in discussion and find out last minute details throughout the summer.

Since last October we have had Mya Leeman on staff in a part-time administrative capacity (and full-time over the summer, with the addition of AdventureKids ministry) to help cover medical leave. We are grateful for all she has brought to the team, however as she continues on in her schooling she will be wrapping up her role at the end of August. With this in mind, we are looking to hire a 32 hour/week Administrative Assistant starting near the end of August. The application deadline is August 3.

AdventureKids SUMMER RESET is happening August 2 and 9. Our team will be deep cleaning, organizing and getting our rooms ready for the fall to welcome our children back into spaces that are fresh and fun. If you find joy in hunting for dust bunnies and purging closets on a regular basis (we know you're out there), would you consider emailing [email protected] to help?

For those two Sundays, in lieu of children's ministry programming, we still want to worship together!

Families, there will be a few different spaces open to you based on your needs:

AUDITORIUM - our regular gathering space where all ages will be welcome to participate and worship together

GREAT ROOM - a space that will be set with tables and chairs for families to participate in the service together without undue pressure to keep still

CAFÉ - a quieter space where you can watch the service together in a lower volume - a less intense environment

Thanks for helping our AdventureKids feel at home and embraced by our S**C community in these two weeks of displacement.
