A few moments from yesterday’s beautiful Ordination Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Christ the King.

We give thanks to God for the gift of Deacon Paul’s vocation and for the opportunity to witness this sacred milestone in the life of the Church.

Please continue to keep Deacon Paul in your prayers as he begins his ministry of service.

Today, our parish joyfully celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, a beautiful reminder that Christ remains truly present among us in the Holy Eucharist. Through the gift of His Body and Blood, we are nourished, strengthened, and united as one family in faith.

We were especially blessed to welcome Bishop Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum from Ghana, whose presence added to the joy of our celebration. We also had the privilege of hearing a wonderful homily from Deacon Paul Dobrowolski during his first Mass as a deacon. His reflection on the Eucharist reminded us of Christ's abiding presence and the call to carry that presence into our daily lives.

Following Mass, our parish community gathered together in fellowship and celebration, giving thanks for the many blessings God continues to pour out upon us.

As we reflect on the mystery of Corpus Christi, may we grow ever closer to Jesus in the Eucharist and become His hands and feet in the world.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi, also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, as we publicly honor Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament. There will be a procession with the Blessed Sacrament after all Masses except the 12:00 noon Mass. After the 12:00 noon Mass, there will be short Adoration, followed by a reception for Deacon Paul.

“Corpus Christi” means “the Body of Christ.” The Church’s focus on this feast is the Sacrament of Christ’s real presence—the Blessed Sacrament. In this Sacrament, God continues to draw us into His life and gives us communion through the true gift of His Body and Blood.

Jesus doesn’t give us something symbolic to admire; He gives “true food” and “true drink,” so that whoever receives Him “abide[s] in me, and I in them.” John 6:56.

As we prepare to enter the month of June, dedicate June to the Sacred Heart and start your day by reciting this prayer. This beautiful devotion to the Sacred Heart draws us to contemplate the personal, healing, and transforming love of Christ. It helps us to seek God’s forgiveness, deepen your trust in His love, and intercede for the salvation of the world. Why not start your day with this prayer?🙏 ❤️

This Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity: one God, three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the central mystery of Christian faith and life.
God’s love is personal—and it acts.
John 3:16 shows that God’s love is not vague: it is a gift. Because “God so loved the world,” He “gave his only Son,” so that we may have eternal life.

On this Feast, let us take a moment and pray slowly: “Father, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit—teach my heart to receive Your love.”
