🎒🙏 Backpack Blessing for the new school year - September 12-13 at all Masses.

All children are invited to bring their backpacks to all Masses at Our Lady of the Assumption Church next weekend for a special blessing as we pray for a successful and blessed school year.

Join us after all Masses for coffee, desserts, and fellowship in the Parish Hall.

On December 9, Fr. Richard will celebrate his 20 years of Priesthood, a beautiful milestone of faith, service and God’s grace.
To make this special occasion, he travelled to Italy, a place so deeply rooted in the history and heart of the Catholic faith.
During his journey, he received an unexpected and deeply humbling congratulatory message from the Holy Father, a truly unforgettable blessing and a beautiful way to commemorate 20 years of priestly ministry!

BACK-to-SCHOOL PLANNING! Things are starting to get even busier at our parish as students and staff get ready to return to school on September 8. Today, members of our pastoral team met with principals and vice-principals of our six elementary schools to begin planning for the new school year.
Along with Masses, liturgies and sacramental preparation, we look forward to implementing many new ideas and initiatives that seek to draw God’s children closer to Him.
Thank you to all administrators and staff who work with us to strengthen our school-parish partnership. May the 2026-2027 school year bring many blessings to all staff, students and families of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish.

We were blessed to welcome Bishop Wayne Lobsinger, who presided over our special Feast Day Mass and blessed our newly installed bell tower, crucifix, and tabernacle yesterday

We are so grateful to everyone who helped prepare and make this beautiful celebration possible. May Our Lady of the Assumption continue to intercede for our parish family and lead us closer to her Son, Jesus. ❤️

🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You

We extend our sincere gratitude to Ray Gagnon, Michel St-Jean, Rose Del Grosso, and Corrado Ciapanna for their time, talent, and hard work in preparing and mounting our new crucifix and tabernacle. May God bless you abundantly for your generosity and service!

We are especially blessed that these beautiful additions to our parish will be blessed this weekend during our Parish Feast day Mass on Saturday, August 15, 2026. ✝️

Join us this Saturday as we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption! 

We are blessed to welcome Bishop Lobsinger, who will preside over this special Mass as we come together to honour our Blessed Mother.

Come celebrate with us as a parish family and honour our Mother Mary, asking for her intercession and embracing the graces Christ gives us through her.

Please note there will be no 8am Mass on this day.

We are grateful to our OLOYA tech group that ensures we have mass responses and song lyrics at every mass so we can worship altogether. Thank you to Pam who has led this group beautifully for two years.
