Stettler United Church Small Groups A gathering place for everyone in the community Elements of spirituality and socializing come together within these groups. All are welcome. Zentangle?

They offer and opportunity to connect with, and nurture each other through sharing, listening or simply being. All are welcome to join in activities for fellowship, fun and faith development. No cost to participants, but donations are always appreciated. Please bring your lunch or snack, coffee & tea provided. Art Mixed Media ~ Every Wednesday at 10 am the “Church Mice’ gather to create art works using different mediums. If you would like to join these Mice, come when you can. Contact Joan Baltimore 742-4336. Drum Circles ~ The Wonder of Drumming ~ Discover the gift to the body, mind & soul that comes from drumming . All (every age) are welcome! Drums can be provided. Food for the Soul ~ Spend an evening in quiet meaningful discussion focused on topics that matter, such as Unconditional Love & Acceptance, Compassion, Forgiveness, and Dealing with Change. On the first Tuesday of the month a different topic will be presented, with time for discussion and/or questions. Michele Selinger 403-740-6103

Knitting/Crocheting Prayer Shawls ~ Meeting the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays every month at 2 pm, this group shares stories & sweet treats while working on their creations. These creations are then gifted those in need. Luv 2 Read ~ This lively groups meets every 4th Thursday of the month. Each month they read a different book and get together for an evening of comrade and interesting fun discussion. For a book list go to our website or call Gayle Tennant 742-5008

Men’s Breakfast ~ Meets every Wednesday morning at 7am to enjoy a full breakfast, fellowship and a few laughs. They cook & serve a delightful Easter Breakfast, & burgers for spring fair. Contact: Gerry Bennett 742 -1373

Music Ministry: Choir practices Wednesday at 7 pm and the 1st and 3rd (and 5th) Sundays at 10 am followed by Worship; contact Evelyn Shursen 403-7424288;

Quilting: The CE wing of the church is busy at 10 am on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month. The Ladies are designing, cutting out, & sewing together patterns for quilts that are gifted to, shelters, hospice, Ronald McDonald House etc. Contact Elpha Senft 742-2285

Scrappers Unite ~ Scrapbooking/Card Making: Once a month a group of “Scrappers”, come together to laugh, share food, discuss designs, and create. Dates are announced in our weekly bulletin and on social media. Watch the page for the monthly dates. Contact Gayle Tennant 742-5008

Lunch, Laughter & Learning: Friday’s at noon (weekly); bring a bag lunch & look at the Bible readings for the upcoming Sunday worship service. Only the Spirit knows where the discussion goes. Led by Jan Richardson

United Church Women: To unite women of the congregation for the total mission of the church & to provide a medium through which they may express their loyalty and devotion to Jesus Christ in Christian witness, study, fellowship & service. The two units meet monthly—either 2nd Monday evening or 2nd Thursday afternoon; contact Letty Docherty 403-742-8465. Wild Open Art Night ~ (Maybe not so wild) ~ Every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 6—9 pm. This is an opportunity for those of you who can’t join the daytime art group. Art Journaling?
