This coming Sunday June 28, 2026 our congregation will be joining Grace Baptist Church of Corner Brook in celebration of their fifth anniversary. We welcome you to join us 10:00 and 11:30 in Corner Brook at 43 Maple Valley Rd. We will be back to our regular schedule and meeting place the following Sunday.

While sitting at the wharf this morning at 4:30, I watched our local fishermen busy loading their boats as they readied for a long day on the water. I also noticed there was a seining boat just off-loading their catch from last night’s haul. I considered how this was their busiest time of year as they only have a short season to catch their fish. This reminded me of John 9:4.
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” We must be diligent in our service to our Saviour, especially in our giving of the Gospel to those around us. Our lives and the lives of those around us are but a vapour, gone before one realizes it. We must tell those around us of the peril of not placing their faith in Christ’s redemptive work of salvation!

Due to weather and road conditions the morning service for March 22 is canceled. We will keep an eye on road and weather conditions and will update concerning the evening service later this afternoon.

Due to Pastor O’Brien and his family being sick with the flu there will be no services on Sunday February 8th.

This Sunday January 11th we will have our 10:00am Worship Service our 11:00am Coffee Fellowship and 11:30am Sunday School. We will also be back to meeting in the Lecture Theatre at the CNA building.

Due to Pastor O’Brien and his family having a health emergency in their extended family there will be no church Sunday January 4th. They should return as soon as the 6th.

Due to the College of the North Atlantic’s closure during the Christmas break, New Hope will convene at an alternative location on December 21st, 28th, and January 4th. Our service schedule will consist of a 10:00 AM morning worship session, a 11:00 AM coffee fellowship, and a 11:30 AM combined Sunday school session. There will be no evening service on these dates.
