The Parish of St. James Anglican Church

The Parish of St. James Anglican Church "Warm, vibrant, and welcoming, sharing Christ's love in an ever changing world, with the community and beyond." www.stjamesinstmarys.org James.

We are a vibrant Christian community, both orthodox and progressive, focused on the healing and transforming power of Christ's love. Sunday Eucharist is at 10:00 am. Pastoral and social justice outreach within our surrounding communities and overseas missions is a developing interest of our congregation. A lively and reverent music ministry is integral to parish life at St. Anglicanism expresses i

ts faith through the words of two important historic creeds of the undivided Church: the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed. It also roots its faith in the Holy Scriptures, which we confess contains all things necessary for salvation, and nothing that cannot be read or proven by it can be accepted as doctrine necessary for salvation. However, the Christian Tradition encompasses much more than the Bible. Christian Tradition includes the valuable contributions of great Christian saints and thinkers, the liturgy of the Church, a devotional treasure accumulated throughout the ages, and moral implications of the Christian faith in our daily lives. Anglicans also recognize that human affirmations on the nature of God are not sufficient to express the entire truth; therefore, the Anglican Church of Canada encourages study and research in all fields of human knowledge. It does not pose limits to honest investigation nor modern biblical exegesis; it favours the use of reason as a gift given by God to enrich and widen the revealed truth. We believe that the Holy Spirit guides men and women in their search for the truth, strengthening the Church to relate human truth to God's truth revealed in Jesus Christ. Our faith is centered on the witness of the Holy Scriptures, in the historical creeds and Tradition of the Christian Church, and in the use of reason – given by God – to understand His message in a world which changes even more rapidly.
