Good morning, folks! I hope you have all had a good week and are keeping healthy and happy. I also hope you have your umbrellas and rubber boots ready for any outdoor adventures. It seems we are in for a bit of rain. While it is easy to complain about the weather, let us never forget that, regardless of what the day may bring, it is the day that the Lord has made. Let us, indeed, rejoice and be glad in it.
Tomorrow, we will be sharing at the Lord's Table during our worship service. Of course, the Lord's Table is an open table and extends far beyond the walls of any sanctuary, I extend an invitation to you all to share with us in this service of remembrance and thanksgiving as we recall our Saviour's sacrifice of love upon the cross. If you are unable to with us in person, I would invite you to have your own elements present and partake as the invitation is made. It does not matter if you have bread and grape juice; feel free to use whatever you have available to you. Through the Spirit's power, whatever we share becomes the body and blood of our Risen Saviour.
We offer our thanks to Dawne Smith for leading our congregational singing and sharing her ministry of music with us; and to Heather Griffin for sharing in the reading of scripture. Our service begins at 11:00 am. and will be broadcast live on VOWR and livestreamed here and on our YouTube channel beginning at 10:45 am. with David's prelude music. We hope you will be able to join with us as we gather in worship, fellowship, praise and remembrance and we pray the service will be a blessing for us all.
