So nice to see our church sign featured on CBC Newfoundland and Labrador's Here and Now in their update on the Simms Street fire!

One little message on our sign has brought new faces through our church doors to drop off supplies, gift cards, and more for those in need. Many of these are not church members, and have no prior affiliation with our church, but saw the sign and felt moved to help out!
Just yesterday, a mother from the affected community was in to pick up some of the toys we've collected for the bored little ones living in hotel rooms. Although they don't have much space in their rooms to receive the donations right now (gift cards are much appreciated), the community support has changed the narrative for them in this tragedy.

Generosity and compassion really does build a better world.
When we are willing to give for others even when we don't have to, we bring heaven to earth one action at a time.
Thank you so much to all our neighbours who have contributed so generously! You are brightening the world with your kindness!
