Celebration of life, 2pm today at 10 Pearl Place.

As many of you know, a very special member of our church community passed from this earth on Tuesday.

Despite her health challenges in recent years, Wanda Fost was a very bright presence in our lives. She was encouraging and engaging, often inviting people into her home to spend time chatting, laughing and praying.

Her message was to invite people into the family of God, and her life was a demonstration of that message.

We know that Wanda is more free than she's ever felt, more alive than even she could imagine, right now. Despite that knowledge, we will miss her presence dearly. Please keep her family in your prayers as they navigate this difficult season.

The details of her visitation and funeral are as follows:

Tuesday, June 23rd
Visitation, 2:00 - 5:00pm; 7:00 - 9:00pm
10 Pearl Place

Wednesday, June 24th
Celebration of Life, 2:00pm

Sometimes prayer is on your knees
Sometimes prayer is in your car.

Sometimes it’s claiming the things you need
Sometimes it’s thanking for the things you have.

Sometimes prayers are declared loud
Sometimes prayers are whispered low.

Sometimes we call the things that are not
Sometimes we breathe in the things that are.

Sometimes we steal away into the secret place
Sometimes we huddle with the two or three.

We can pray continually because prayer can take so many forms.
We can pray all the time because we can pray in all of the ‘sometimes’.

Our life of faith is just that, a life. It’s not a compartment. And when we let our ‘compartment’ of prayer break open into the rest of our lives, we can find peace in praying always instead of finding panic in looking for the right time and place... because it’s always the right time and always the right place to acknowledge the presence and the power of our Father.

Let's look for ways to invite the Father into every circumstance. Experience the spoken and unspoken dialogue of the Holy Spirit in your day to day, moment to moment. As Paul goes on to say, this is God's will for us in Christ Jesus.
