"This is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best..." (Philippians 1:9-10).
Effective love will seek to align with what God is up to in another person's life. Because God loves perfectly, he always has in mind what is best for that person. If we want to love them well, then we will depend on the Lord for knowledge and depth of insight into what He is doing in their life at the time. If the advice we give or the ministry we do for them are not aligned with what God is doing, then we may be inadvertently steering them away from what is best for them. Which means that we are not truly loving them. And if we are not loving them with insight, then we are not discerning what is the absolute best for them. Paul's goal is that we may discern what is best for others. We cannot do this without love that is dependent on insight from the Lord.

Like a live band that hears its leader shout “break it down” and then all instruments drop out, including melody and harmony singers, until only the basic rhythm remains – just the percussion and the bass, what happens if the voice of the Lord cries out to his church: “Break it down”?

What if the basic break-it-down rhythm of kingdom ministry is something that no weekly organized system can fully hold? A people who only want to linger in his presence, call on his name, cry out for more, and let the yearning of their spirit take over.

There is a time now here of peeling back all the superficial paraphernalia and ritual trappings of institutional church life. It’s not about all of it being wrong. It is about what we have come to depend on to make church feel like church. And the “break it down” call will peel back the extra layers, and return us to the basic underlying rhythms of life as his people.

What are the underlying rhythms that matter above all else?

** Course Description **
• A 4-week TRAINING COURSE on Skillful Living and the Power of Biblical Wisdom Literature and the Book of Proverbs specifically to increase your capacity to live well.
• Come discover “Wisdom” as the 3rd great category of Revelation from the Lord for which we are answerable to him.
• Begin with the fear of the LORD and grow from being simple or naïve to being wise and skillful at life.
• Two voices call out for our attention from the porches of their respective houses set on either side of the road: Lady Wisdom and Lady Folly. One has trustworthy things to say. The other claims her food is delicious but her words are a trap. And responding to either will have consequences for good or evil in your life.
• The Book of Proverbs speaks to all categories of life: from relationships to work to words to friendship to leadership to money and more. Life can be lived competently and expertly when Wisdom is being discerned and activated in our lives.
• We will have time for dialogue and answering questions, as well as entering into whatever ministry time the Lord opens up to us.

All registered attendees will receive a set of student notes for filling in. Bring a Bible and a pen. Live teaching format. In-person class instructor.
Any age from teen through adult welcome.
A minimum number of registrations are required to proceed, so please respond and let us know ahead of time if you plan to attend.

In the season of the new, old good things, even old God things, must go. "Forget the former things. I am doing something new. Do you perceive it?" In the time of the new, what was once fresh and invigorating, life-filled and transformational, becomes dry and lifeless, a worn-out strategy, a shrivelled-up empty husk, what the Lord himself calls "a former thing." Don't hang on too long or God's miracle is in danger of becoming your idol.

Last minute! Spontaneous. Worship and Scripture declaration night at The Glory House. Spend a bit of time in his Presence.
We will be at the gym tonight at 7:00 p.m. 2390 Lasalle Line.

We are knocking on the Lord’s door, spontaneously dropping by His place. Ever dropped in at a friend’s place unplanned? Let’s go knock on the Lord’s door tonight and see if He’s home and lets us in. 😊

We will spend some time in worship and whatever else the Lord might want to do. Prepping for regional Holy Spirit outpouring.
Whoever would like to join us, please feel free to come.

Note: Tonight is an EXTRA and spontaneous gathering. This is not replacing tomorrow night. We are still gathering on Saturday, at 6:00 p.m. for our regular Worship and Word night. (And we will be challenged by the Word tomorrow night!)

What should we expect when we come to church? The repeated Biblical declaration regarding the intended end of all things is that the earth would “see his glory.” Not just sing nice songs every week, or have a good teaching, or get to say hello to someone you haven’t seen all week. But a room filled with the atmosphere of heaven, so much so that people can walk in and see it. They might love it or leave it. But they will tangibly, inescapably and undeniably encounter it.

I think we have settled for far less than God intended for us. We have set our expectations too low. We want good worship, a good teaching, a great Bible study, a good evangelism opportunity where the good news is clearly shared and responded to, or whichever emphasis the church is primarily all about for each of us. And we measure “success” by whichever emphasis is our favorite. But according to 1 Corinthians 14:25, the highest measure of “success” is not that services go off without a hitch, or that multiplied numbers of people are attending our gatherings, or that a good word is preached, or that the worship songs were the perfect pick. It is when people walk into the room and they…
…fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”

We are stewarding places and spaces where his glory can descend and remain, and where people can and should encounter the visible, tangible glory of the Lord in our midst.

So much of the time, we live as broken-hearted people when we don’t need to. We carry around heaviness on the inside, and we shrug it off, we distract ourselves, and we are sort of able to manage. But we have not actually exchanged or replaced our spirit of heaviness with a garment of praise. We carry the loss and the pain, we shove it down into the deepest corners of our hearts so that we can go on. But we have not actually exchanged or replaced the ashes of our life for a crown of beauty. We feel the sadness, we carry the devastation of the injury. But we have not actually exchanged or replaced our mourning with the oil of joy.

Jesus has proclaimed to us an exchange that removes one and replaces it with the other. He has not merely given us a stronger ability to carry the pain and still kind of feel joy just enough to cover the pain. He has proclaimed a removal of the damage and an imparting of wholeness in its place.

Don’t settle for less healing than what has been made available! Isaiah 61:1-3

**WORSHIP and REGIONAL PRAYER FOR REVIVAL Night - Wednesday, April 29
Longing for revival in the region? Crying out for your family and friends to know Jesus? Ready for an increase in the glory of God in SW Ontario? We will join together for an evening of worship and crying out in prayer for these and more. The move of God is on, calling people in from the North, the South, the East and the West. Let us join our voices with the Voice of Heaven and ask Him to pour out his Spirit in greater measure - on us, on our families, on our region. It has begun, but there is so much more. Join us especially from Lambton and Chatham-Kent counties (and even further out), as we pray for the Lord to move with mighty power and transforming grace.

Just have to say “Wow” over today’s course material for Session 4 of Battle Ready – Spiritual Warfare 101. Praying protection over all of you and all that pertains to each of you. Safe travels for all of you today. No sickness. No injury. No distraction. No unanticipated schedule changes. The blood of Jesus as a line of defense around all of you and your tents. Come expectant. Come ready for substantial expansion of what you thought you knew. This will blow your mind. Love you all!
