Good afternoon!
Please see the link below to view the service for the Second Sunday after Pentecost, June 7, 2026.
Everything is coming together for the Anniversary celebration! How exciting it is to see how many members want to come out and celebrate together. Time is running out for tickets, and there are an extremely limited number still available. Should you not yet have your tickets, reach out to Lois Hennig directly to see if you can still purchase one for the meal. You only have until Sunday, June 14th to do so. If you are unable to attend the meal, though, please feel free to still come for the morning service, or the afternoon celebrations. The full itinerary will be sent out once again in a new email with further updates.
We are planning to open the time capsule from the dedication of the new addition on Sunday, June 21st (Father's Day) in order to have the items from it included in the displays for the Anniversary party. Please plan to attend and see what treasures were stored away at that time. We will plan for updated items to be installed in a new time capsule later in the year, with a possible date of November 15th in the works (one day after our official 100th Anniversary date).
The Spruce Grove Archives are also putting together historical information regarding our church and wish to obtain video interviews with people of the congregation and surrounding community. They will be arranging times with Gordon Drever for upcoming dates, so if you are interested in participating, please feel free to reach out to Gordon to let him know when may work for you.
If you would like to have Pastor Doug visit you at any time, please feel free to reach out to him or any member of council to arrange that. Sometimes word does not spread as well as some believe, and Pastor Doug is only able to visit those that he knows may be in need. Please ensure to advise any of us if a visit or phone call is desired, and arrangements will be made to best suit everyone.
Thank you to all congregational members that continue to support our church and mission today and every day. It is sincerely appreciated. Please remember that, if you are unable to attend in person, we gratefully accept financial contributions via direct deposit e-transfer. Setup the transfer to be sent to [email protected] and your donation will be accounted for by our Financial Secretary. Please ensure to note on the transfer if you would like to allocate any funds to another account other than the church support (ex. Synod/Global Hunger/Etc).
Today's readings are as follows:
First Lesson Hosea 5:15-6:6
Psalm 50:7-15
Second Lesson Romans 4:13-25
Gospel Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26
Prayer of the Day:
O God, you are the source of life and the ground of our being. By the power of your Spirit bring healing to this wounded world, and raise us to the new life of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
Amen
