There may have been moments when we prayed and had to wait, seasons when we did not understand, and battles we never thought we would overcome. Yet through it all, 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹. He carried us when we were weak, provided for us when we were in need, opened doors in His perfect time, and gave us strength to keep going.

Whatever season you may be in, there is always a reason to give thanks. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹.

Join us this Sunday as we gather together with grateful hearts to celebrate God’s goodness, faithfulness, and unfailing love.

Our Beloved Bishop Bro. Eddie,

Today, as you celebrate your 80th birthday, we thank God for your life and for the blessing you have been to so many people here in the Philippines and around the world.

We have heard you faithfully preach God’s Word and pray according to His Word, countless times through the years. We have seen your deep desire for people to know Jesus—the One who saves, heals, delivers, restores, and transforms lives.

You have been a spiritual father to us—evangelizing, discipling, and commissioning us to live out the full Gospel of Christ, with a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit. You have taught us not only through your preaching, but through the life you have lived before us.

Our prayer is that God’s faithfulness, which endures to all generations, will continue to be evident in your life and in the generations that follow you. (Psalm 119:90) May you continually experience the faithfulness of the God who keeps His covenant and surrounds you with His steadfast love. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

May you continue to taste and see that the Lord is good, and may He protect, strengthen, and fill you with the peace that only His presence can give. (Psalm 34:8)

We love you, Bro. Eddie. We thank God for you, and we give all glory to our Heavenly Father for what He has done through your life.

On behalf of the entire JIL Slave Lake family, we want to pause today to say thank you to our beloved Pastora Cris Gimenez Yumol and Bro Erwin Yumol.

For your faithful service and dedication to our church family, for your devotion to teaching God’s Word, we are all blessed and grateful.
We know that being a Pastor goes far beyond the preaching of God’s word every week.
We may not always say it, but we thank you for all the quiet work you do behind the scenes that we sometimes do not acknowledge. As God sees it, we also do now. We see the quiet preparations you poured into preaching the Word, the late-night phone calls of counselling and mentoring, the trainings and discipleship to equip us, and the constant prayers you lift up for our family even if no one is watching and even without us knowing.
You have stood firmly beside us during seasons of trials and grief.
You have rejoiced and celebrated with us during moments of joy.
Through it all, you led the JIL Slave Lake church with a true shepherd’s heart, always pointing us to Jesus Christ.
We also thank you Bro Erwin, and your family for sharing Ptra Cris with us.
Thank you Bro Erwin for all the sacrifices you made, alongside our dearest Pastor.

Please know that you are both deeply loved, constantly prayed for, and appreciated more than our words can fully express.

As Philippians 1:3 says,
