Today, we stand in prayer and solidarity with the people of the Philippines affected by the recent earthquake in Mindanao. Our hearts are especially with those who have suffered loss, damage, fear, and uncertainty in the aftermath of this disaster.

We also remember our brothers and sisters here in Canada who may have family and loved ones in the affected region. We pray that communication will be restored where needed, that families will be reunited, and that God's peace will guard anxious hearts during this difficult time.

As the Body of Christ, we are reminded that when one part suffers, we all suffer together. Let us lift up our prayers for protection, comfort, strength, and provision for everyone impacted.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear..." — Psalm 46:1-2

Heavenly Father, we ask You to surround the people of Mindanao and all affected communities with Your mercy and protection. Comfort those who are afraid, heal those who are injured, provide for those who have lost homes or livelihoods, and strengthen the hands of first responders and relief workers. Bring peace to families waiting for news of loved ones, both in the Philippines and here in Canada. May Your presence be felt in every community, and may Your people be a source of hope, compassion, and practical help. In Jesus' name, Amen.
