My peace I give you. When the hour came for Jesus to leave this world and return to the Father, He spoke to His disciples: “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.” The peace that Jesus offers is not like worldly peace, which relies on circumstances aligning perfectly. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding—one that holds firm even amidst turmoil and persecution. This peace is rooted in Jesus’ sacrificial love on the cross, His victorious resurrection, and His glorious ascension to heaven, where He intercedes for us at the Father's right hand. It rests upon the completed work of redemption and the eternal, faithful promises of God. Let us embrace this peace—peace with God, peace with one another, and the assurance of eternity in heaven through our faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen!
