Hello everyone - posting early tonight as I still have donations to get ready.

We are open tomorrow, Sept. 9th - 10-1
Lots of new donations - the place is full on both levels.

Important information -

In order to reduce confusion when we can accept clothing donations, we will receive clothing only on Tuesday of each week. This is necessary due to the high volume of clothing we are receiving each week. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE KIDS CLOTHING WHICH WE CAN ACCEPT TUESDAY TO FRIDAY. Thank you for understanding.

We will accept all other donations Tuesday to Friday 9-noon

In the shop this week we have new clothing from a local store - if you need size 44 men’s pants and larger size ladies pants, jackets you need to come shop tomorrow.

Winter boots have been brought out.

Always in need of health gear especially 4 wheel and 2 wheel walkers, raised toilet seats, commodes, foldable wheelchairs.

Thank you to our community who have voted for our thrift shop to receive gold level.

Thank you to our weekly customers and supporters - so many blessings happening under our roof.

Very late post but perhaps you can view in the morning before coming to thrift shop, bargain box open 19-1 tomorrow Sept. 2 - lots of new clothing and household.

Some new furniture has come in as well.

Tomorrow is thrift shopping at bargain box and the halls are super full with new donations. Wednesday, August 26 - 10-1

PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY MORE DONATIONS THIS WEEK. WE NEED TO CATCH UP AND ATTEMPT TO CLEAR OUT MY GARAGE.

Urgently need -

4 wheel walkers
Light weight foldable wheelchair

Please do not leave donations outside of our door.
We are receiving some donations that are not suitable for our thrift shop.
We do not take -
Educational books - school text books
Decor items that are damaged or rusty
Shoes that are worn
No suits at this time - too many in the shop and they are a slow sell
Clothing that is torn, dirty or have nursing home names attached to them
Cassette tapes
Furniture is fine but should be in decent condition - not dirty - broken

Please do not use us as a dumping spot - getting rid of unsuitable donations costs us dumping fees. Thank you for helping with this request.

Just arrived home from vacation. My dedicated volunteers have kept our shop in great condition and ready for tomorrow. A few pictures were forwarded to me so I will post to get you excited about thrifting tomorrow.

Hi everyone - quick notice for the coming two weeks.

I will not be posting pictures for the next two weeks but please be assured that our thrift shop, BARGAIN BOX, will be open every Wednesday, 10-1. The shop has been left in the hands of our very capable volunteers and I’m certain they will load shelves and racks to keep everything interesting.

DONATION DROP-OFF

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 9 to noon
Off Albert st, glass door, ring bell on right

For the next two weeks clothing will only be accepted on TUESDAY.
This applies to clothing only - we will accept all other donations

Please do not leave donations outside - this only serves to ruin a donation.
Either hold on to your donation or donate elsewhere when we can’t accept donations due to volume.

Health gear - urgently needing the following -

Bedrail
Raised toilet seat
Raised toilet seat with handles
2 and 4 wheel walkers
Tub handle
Foldable, lightweight wheelchairs - urgent need
Transfer chair
Bath bench and bath chair

Thrift shopping tomorrow at bargain box thrift shop - 10-1

Lots of new donations this week. Thank you to all our generous people who donate to keep our shop so interesting and lovely.

We had an empty spot so decided to put out fall decor - why not?

We have a rather large selection of pictures - some with beautiful frames. Very reasonably priced plus 1/2 off the ticket price.

Summer shoes - 1/2 price

Glass ware - 1/2 price

Reminder - if you have purchased furniture please try to pickup this Wednesday or at least this week. We need the room! Also when you pickup furniture, you need to bring at least two people to help move the furniture. Our caretaker is not able to help with this task due to back issues.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - we will only be accepting clothing TUESDAY FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS. Our clothing volunteer is catching up and taking a vacation. This will help all our other volunteers. We will accept any other donations Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 to noon.

Still looking for walkers and any other health gear you may not be using.

Busy day filling our shelves and racks - we have received some great donations. Not a day you want to miss!

Downstairs - 1/2 price on summer table - food storage containers - great time to stock up on food containers.

1/2 price on all games and puzzles - perfect for summer relax time.

1/2 price on tablecloths and curtains.

1/2 price on all shoes.

Wednesday, July 22 - 10-1 BARGAIN BOX THRIFT SHOP is open for happy thrift shopping.

So grateful for all our supporters -the shop is very full of beautiful treasures!

Lots of furniture came in this week - tables,dining room set, desk, chairs, bookcase mirrors just to name a few.

UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO LARGE VOLUME OF CLOTHING RECEIVED TODAY WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY MORE CLOTHING THIS WEEK.
WE WILL ACCEPT ALL OTHER ITEMS JUST NOT CLOTHING.
(There is a limit on how much clothing we can process in a week)

Bargain box thrift shop will be open tomorrow Wednesday July 15 - 10-1
After two weeks off the place is super full - so many beautiful items have arrived.

Special note - for those who do not realize that Sandra Downs one of our faithful volunteer passed away suddenly. Sandra worked beside Cathy at the cash table every week. Sandra holds a special place in our hearts. Always a quiet reliable volunteer she has left a big hole in all our hearts. Rest in peace Sandra. You are so missed.

If anyone has health gear collecting dust please consider donating to helps others. A number of people have asked for health gear this week and sadly I couldn’t find the items they needed. Breaks my heart to have to say “sorry I don’t have any health gear right now”.

GARAGE SALE ITEMS - please do not donate items from your garage sale that are not suitable for our thrift shop - broken items, worn - dirty shoes, hockey items that are totally worn, dishes cracked, incomplete items. Please do not use our thrift shop to dispose of items that belong in the garbage. Use of a dumpster costs our church and the cost is increasing due to donations not suitable for our use.

Thank you for the people who wash, even iron and fold clothing they donate. So helpful and appreciated. We are sorting around 100 plus bags every week and this preparation helps. Your kindness does not go unnoticed.

We will be closed this week, July 8 th - donations can be dropped off Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9 to noon

If we receive too much this coming week we may have to cancel donations. If this happens we will post a sign at the door. Thank you for understanding we can only receive so much. Please do not leave outside our door.
