Rest and Remain

Rest and Remain Through Christian Mentorship, I walk alongside women as they navigate life's challenges, pursue spiritual growth, and learn to rest in the Lord.

Together, we seek God's wisdom, anchor ourselves in Scripture, and take practical steps forward in faith.

things I’m learning to leave at the feet of Jesus…

You can be hurt without becoming bitter.
You can be disappointed without losing hope.
You can be afraid without letting fear decide for you.
You can grieve without believing God has abandoned you.

Faith was never the promise that you would stop feeling. It is the assurance that your feelings do not get the final word.

The goal is not to become a person who feels nothing.

It is to become a person who, in the middle of feeling everything, still knows where to turn.

Still tender. Still human. Still feeling.
But anchored in Christ.

There are seasons when we question why God allows certain things to fall apart.

Why some relationships change,
why some doors close,
why some prayers take longer than expected.

But maybe brokenness is not always a sign that God has abandoned us.

Sometimes, it is the very place where He begins His deepest work.

God does not waste our broken pieces.

He takes the parts of us that are tired, wounded, and exhausted, and He gently rebuilds them…not back to who we were, but into who He is calling us to become.

Like clay in the hands of the Potter, we may feel the pressure and the reshaping, but the purpose is always to form something beautiful.

The breaking can hurt.
The surrender can be painful.
Letting go of our pride, our fears, and the things we hold tightly is never easy.

But in the hands of God, brokenness becomes a place of transformation.

Maybe this season is not about losing yourself.

Maybe it’s about allowing God to remove what no longer reflects Him, so He can rebuild your heart with more grace, humility, and love.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Sometimes God allows us to be broken, not to destroy us, but to rebuild us into a reflection of His heart.

There are moments when we really prayed for something, worked hard for it, and hoped it would happen… but it didn’t.
And honestly, it hurts.

We wonder,
“Lord, why did You allow this?
Why didn’t You answer the way I wanted?”

But as we grow in faith, we slowly learn that God’s “no” is not always rejection.

Sometimes, it is protection.

Sometimes, the door that closed was the very thing God was saving us from.

Sometimes, the waiting season is where He shapes our hearts, strengthens our character, and prepares us for something better.

Being rooted in God’s plan doesn’t mean we won’t feel disappointed. It means we choose to trust Him even when we don’t understand.

Because God sees what we cannot see.

He knows the things we ask for, but He also knows the things we truly need.

It says from Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Maybe today’s disappointment is not the end of your story. Maybe it is God gently redirecting you toward something that is more aligned with His purpose.

Keep trusting.
Keep surrendering.

The God who closes doors is the same God who opens the right ones.

What a sweet relief to remember that we don’t have to hold it all together. 🌿✨

When our strength, patience, and wisdom run out, His never do. Whatever limitations you’re feeling today, you can bring them straight to the One whose grace and power know no bounds. He is faithful to meet us right where we are!

May your heart find rest in Him today. 🤍

If you missed my email (or aren't on my mailing list), I wanted to share some exciting news! After much prayer, I'm excited to share that I'm opening the door to Christian Mentoring again!

This wasn't a direction I expected to return to, but over the past several months, the Lord has gently been leading me back to walking alongside women in a more personal way through Scripture, prayer, encouragement, accountability, and genuine relationship.

If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, spiritually dry, or simply longing to grow deeper in your relationship with God, I'd love to connect with you and see if mentoring would be a good fit for this season.

And if one-on-one mentoring isn't what you need right now, that's okay too. I've created a growing collection of Bible studies, devotionals, Scripture writing plans, and faith-based resources designed to help you stay rooted in God's Word wherever you are in your walk with the Lord.
